Anyone from Raleigh/Durham area?

Just wondering if anyone on the boards is from the Triangle area in North Carolina. I'd be interested in discussing reputable shops, meet and greets, etc.

I'm in New Bern, NC. About 2 hours from Raleigh. My wife and I are actually going out there for our 6th wedding anniversary from the 20th-21st. I don't know of any shops around there but on a nice weekend, we'd love to attend a meet and greet. I've been talking to a member from VA recently and he's thinking the same thing, we need to have a get together on the East soon. If you start making a list of people attending and a weekend to do it, let me know. If you need any help also, let me know.

Joe

Unfortunately I'm leaving town the weekend of the 21st on vacation, but I'd definitely like to do a meet-and-greet sometime. I'm surprised there isn't anyone else from NC speaking up. We need some 300Cforums.com business cards to leave with local Chrysler dealers to help recruitment...

Anyway, I'll be in touch.

A Charger in Apex here.
I have met a couple of Charger guys at Mac Gregor Village shopping center.
Mac Gregor Ala house is covenant for a drink or two, if the urge hits you.

The only shop I have used in the area (other than the dealer) is Raleigh Auto Inc. Lloyd Jr. installed my headers and cat's. I have no problem recommending them for such work. The owner is an old mopar guy. They sell used POS cars there as well. They do have a couple of restored Chargers and Cuda's. They also have a couple Old Hemi cars.

It would be worth discussing mechanical work with them. Ask for Jr.,he is good about listening to what you want and working with you on it. Llody Sr. is a bit more moody. Some days he a kitten some days he's a bear.

Actually I need to get my car by there and get him to check all the header bolts. I have about 15000 miles on my headers and I think I have a tick getting louder. He did put a wrench on them at 5000 miles. He told me they where all still tight.

I had posted this thread over at LXforms, just to see if anyone in the Raleigh area knew of a good place to do a M&G.

How about May 5th? The first Saturday in May
McGregor Village in Cary?
More specifically Mac Gregor Ale House
107 Edinburgh South Dr., Cary, NC
This is at the intersection of US1 and HWY64. South of Raleigh.
There are a couple guys over at LXforums that said that sounds like a good date.

I will bring it up again
