SoCal Gathering - Huge Success!!

We had a great turnout today of 15 cars and a few without cars. We had most of them lined up side by side in the parking lot - what a site!

I didn't take pictures because both KidCoastal and 300TouringNProud were taking good hi-res images. Guys - post your pics to this thread so we can share with those that couldn't make it.

I tried to write down everyones board name, but If I somehow missed your name, please PM me and I'll edit this list to put you in. We had a few there that also are not signed up on the board yet - if that's you, please sign up and send me a message so I can add you to this list.

This was a fantastic opportunity to see what mods everyone was doing and to just socialize with fellow members. If you couldn't make it today - you really missed out! With the success of this meet, I'm sure our next one will be even bigger. A special thanks to VIPEdition and TanaharaDesign for bringing out the show cars. We even had a Magnum there that had been mod'd with a 300C front end - very sweet!

It really was an awesome turnout, and such a kick to meet you guys and find that you're just as cool in person as you are here on the board. Sorry a few of you had to cut out early. It was great to break bread with you jonw and fatchance, and jonw thanks so much for the great door prize...perfect!

Two300Cs got the long distance nod... all the way from Albuquerque - that's devotion! Next furthest were 300CLove from the desert and steveo from Bakersfield, whose car is only 2 weeks new! 300TouringandProud kept us guessing when he showed up with Illinois plates... forgot he was a transplant, and the camera he was toting is probably registered as a lethal weapon! kidcoastal was so excited he was about to bust, we may have to rename him kidincandystore We had 4 or 5 mags, 5 silvers, 2 blues, 3 or 4 blacks... I tried to keep track but I lost count, no vanilla or lava

Seeing all the different touches everyone has added to their 300's made my hubby's wallet pucker, but he's a good sport.

My only regret in retrospect... we should have taken a group shot. Oh well, Scarlet, there's always tomorrow....

Those of you that couldn't make it, you were missed. Hope you guys can make the next one... hope I can too!

What a great success this was. I"m am even more inpressed with this forum and it's memebers. We had a chance to see a lot of mods. I agree with Hemeee, kidcoastal didn't know which way to look. A few of the cars were from the SEMA show and the LA car show, these guys were great. One interesting point, we had owners show up, who aren't even members yet. That says a lot about this forum.

Hey everyone. That was a great meet. I was so glad to see everyone come out and it was really nice to talk to some of the customizers about their stuff. I was amazed how really nice and excited everyone was. I had barely gotten out of the car before JonW and HEMEE were on me saying hello. That was really the first car meet I'd been to for my own car. My dad is big into Citroen's and Peugots, so I've been to a few of his French car meets. I was glad to see a wide range of interests represented; that not everyone is a "car guy" 'cause lord knows I'm not, and I get really lost in discussions of displacement and torque and engine mods, etc.

Anyway, there's that, I had a great time and would definitely be in for the next meet.

What a great group of people. Never joined a forum before actually and to meet everyone was thrilling. Very polite, friendly, quality people. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Jon, very generous of you for the door prize. We are ALL thrilled to get that. You and fatchance have taught me a ton from the forum and thanks for the hookups to places to go to!
Fatchance - IMO not to take anything away from the show cars there... I liked your ride the best. Shoreline should be proud.
300CLove - Very nice car! Good choice on color.. I cant wait to see what mine will look like with rims.
VIP Edition - VERY cool guys. Victor, you are the best for answering all my questions. I will be calling your paint guy if I ever go that route.
Turbohips another real cool guy. Glad you came out dude.

I didnt get to shoot the TanaharaDesign car. I hope someone has good shots of that. (even though you can go to any sema site!) That car is bitchin!

Great pics kidcoastal! I know how you feel. Having done nothing but a tint job I couldn't get around quick enough to talk to people and find out how they did stuff. I had a hard time stopping to take some pics. I've got a few of the Tanahara car at my site. I completely agree about the caliber of people attending!
