I think what Brian and I are saying is that we'd love to join up with you guys, but not if we're always looking at driving down to HB for each one. I'm sure I can find a good route through some of the roads closer to us, especially through the hills. I know Kanan is always a fun drive for me. And there's a particular wayside that I know would be spectacular for photos.

We just want this to be easy for everyone, if not always, at least sometimes.

I second that... just a little closer would be great. so cruise a little further from your home and vist us down here.

Hey guys I'm meeting with our director of the Socal group JonW to discuss the options tomorrow. He will have the final say so. I will make sure to let him know of your interests. This is the best that I can do since I'm only helping. I'm not the Socal club rep so Jon will let us all know what's going to happen. This for sure will not be the only route that we follow. This was simply an idea for our first meet. The second meet could be in the desert for all I care. Please keep posting ideas so that we can decide what to do. I hope to see you all there and also to here some responses. Thanks again for making the Socal group the best!
Bruce

Turbo, give yourself more credit. This is your event man! You're the one that rallied this great idea and got the support behind it. My voice is only one opinion and I'm here to help YOU.

At the first cruise, I think we should talk about the frequency of how often we should do these. Maybe monthly? Every 60 days? We can get organizers to start lining up for cruise #'s 3, 4, 5, 6, etc. This is a group effort and everyone's opinion counts.

I'm going to nominate 300TouringNproud and apbrian112 to take ownership for planning the second cruise. I think they already have a good idea where they would like to take us.

Yes - start in Long Beach, stop in Huntington Beach at House of Brews and end in Newport Beach. The exact end point is still undecided as there is question about where we could find easy parking. The pier area in NB is too difficult.

Also, the date for Sunday is the 20th, not the 19th. TurboHips - please edit your title. I'm going to write up a turn-by-turn route guide this weekend to have for everyone. I'll then publish that and the exact street address of the beginning, mid and end stops so people can do NAV input or Mapquest.

Now I'm bummed. Looks like I won't be making this roll. I'm heading out to Fayetteville, NC for the national anti-war rally. The 19th is the 2-year anniversary of the start of the war in Iraq.
Guess I'll have to catch up with you guys next time. Take lots of pictures!

Thanks 300touringnproud! Wow I don't know what to say. I just thought it sounded like fun.
JonW,
I've tried to change the title to reflect the 20th but still can't figure it out. Can you post a new thread when you have the final directions figured out? It would greatly help clear any confusion.
Now I'm back to making some more inserts. See all of you soon.
