Meguiar's Detail Day in Irvine

Hi guys and gals,

I'm actually a Magnum owner and member from the DodgeMagnum.net forums. I'm trying to get a group together for a Detail Day at Meguiar's sometime in June. If you're interested please contact me so I can make arrangements.

It's actually a really great deal. You get breakfast(pastries, etc.), lunch(pizza, and you get to learn about the Meguiar's products and try them out. All for free!

I don't work for Meguiar's, but I have attended a Detail Day and highly recommend it.

You can see what they are like by going to the Meguiar's forums.
Detail Days at Meguiar's

Here's a schedule of events:

8:30 am to 9:00 am Coffee and pastries served.

9:00 am to 11:00 am - In-depth presentation covering the history of Meguiar's, Consumer and Professional Product Lines and the Meguiar's 5 Step Paint Care Cycle.

11:00 am to 11:30 am - Questions & Answers

11:30 am to 12:00 noon - Surface evaluation of attendees cars to discuss the owners current car care program.

12:00 noon to 12:30 pm - Lunch - Pizza and refreshments provided.

12:30 pm to 3:00 pm - Product demonstrations with a focus on using proper technique for applying products by hand and with the G-100 Dual Action Polisher.

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm - Open Garage for testing and trying out Meguiar's products on attendees cars with instruction and guidance from Meguiar's Training Instructors.

The afternoon portion of the event is a hands-on experience and attendees are encouraged to put on a Meguiar's smock and get involved. Learning is best done by participating, not watching from the sidelines.

Right now I'm just trying to gauge interest right now. We have 7 Magnums interested so far. I'd like to get at least 10 vehicles before I contact Meguiar's. We're thinking about June 4th. The class starts at 8:30a.m. and usually goes to about 3:00p.m. at the Meguiar's office in Irvine, CA.

Here is the Mapquest Link

Hope we can get at least as many 300s out there.

IMO, maybe we can have this function become part of our planned 'get-together' on June 11th, since we planned on asking Magnum owners if they would like to attend our gathering anyway.

Two different gatherings. As informative and fun as this sounds, I know there are many of us that are Zaino users and would prefer to just have a get together to socialize.

turbohips, it's going to happen.

We've decided on June 4th so that there is no conflict with the event on the 11th. If you look at the schedule in my first post, this is pretty much an all day event, but IMHO it's well worth it.

I've used Meguiar's products on my Magnum pretty much since Day 1 and couldn't be happier. I don't want to start any debates about product since it's just like debating which color is better. Any good product will make your car look good if you know how to use it. I just think it's great to get some first hand experience and knowledge about car care, regardless of the brand.

If all you've ever done is washed your car or tried detailing it, but were disappointed with the results, you should try to make it to this class.
