4th Of July Bbq Meet In So Cal

I know this is last minute and I do apologize, but I was thinking for those that aren't commited yet to backyard bbqs and visiting inlaws, sparkelers and ground bloom flowers. I was thinking, how about a 300 meet BBQ with fireworks and food and fun and all of the above. We could arrange it at a park or something like that. Make it a potluck type of event. OK I started it so let's hear some feedback.

You know I'm in for this. We could do Newport Beach or even Huntinton Beach, keep in mind any where we go will be a mess. I'll check to see if they are going to have fireworks in the area. I know that Long Beach will not have any fireworks. Anyone know about Manhatan or Redondo Beach?

A few of us have talked about a park picnic meet and this sounds great, but I have a neighborhood block party for 16yrs in a row now for the 4th and I am committed to that.

Change of plans. 4th of july 300 chrysler road trip to Shakas.**Those of you who are not familiar with Shakas,**let me say that they have some good Hawaiian food.**They have two plasma tv?s and they have beer for all you drinkers.**For those of you who have nothing to do, let?s cruise? Hit me back asap so I can work out a deal on the food. They have a descent size parking lot and is located right off the 91 Fwy and 605 fwy. I was thinking something like 1pm to 5pm for those that need to be somewhere later that night.

hehe, come on up! Actually, we moved from that neighborhood almost 6 yrs ago, but the old 'hood still insists we attend yearly... fun, people, beer, music, beer, fireworks, beer, skydivers, beer... it will be tough, but I'll make the ultimate sacrifice. Unfortunately, it's a cul-de-sac and no room for cars or you guys would be sooo invited!

Maybe we need to move the date to another. I know it was last minute so it's understandable that not all can make it. So if any suggestions for a later date that would be cool.
