Phoenix Area Dealership for Service

Posted the text below in another thread but thought it worth repeating here.

"Hey guys. While I did not purchase from Moore, I plan to have my 8 serviced there. My local dealership catapulted its Service Director and I got along famously with him.

So after calling around to most of the 5 Star dealerships in town attempting to ascertain which one was worthy of my business, the stand out Service Manager/Director was Luke Moore and he recommended that I hook up with service advisor Walt (Smith or Adams, or something like that) . . . whose customers apparently think he is the Katz pajamas.

I offer the above because I plan on making the trek from the North Scottsdale/Cave Creek area out to Peoria for service and think there would be some benefit to us in identifying a single dealership and service advisor for the Phx. 300C/SRT8 gang to rely on."

Well, I have not had any service or issues as of yet (got mine 3 weeks ago from Moore) nor any oils changes. I also live in N Scottsdale but I am not sure that I would drive the 101 to Peoria for an oil change.

One thing I will say about Moore and Airpark is this, I wanted a new bezel trim with nav because I am getting the Kenwood DVD deck - I called Moore Chrysler and they wanted $97.00 for the part... I went to Airpark and they wanted $128.00 for the same part . I said it is only $97.00 at Moore Chrysler and he said OK I will do that. Nice that he did that, but isn't that kinda crappy that they are stiffing there customers on parts - wonder if they try to do the same to their service customers?

BTW, are we going to be able to get the AZ members together sometime soon?

I have used Bill Luke, Lou Grubb (now Power), Airpark, and Moore. Cared for Bill Luke and Lou Grubb the least and had the most issues with their respective service departments, i.e., service advisors failing to address all items, tech scratching interior bezel or steering wheel controls, etc.

As soon as it cools down, I am delicate.

It's true, Airpark has alway been good about price matching in their part's department. In fact I use to have a guy their that would always give me 25-30% off the list price . . . of course, they let him go to! Damn conspiracy I tell ya.

Seriously, most parts departments will give you 20% off list if you tell them that is what you are use to getting at your regular dealership.

I haven't had the need for a parts change that I had to pay for yet, (I'm waiting on a Mopar cold air intake, though.) but for informational purposes- I posted my Airpark experience on Phoenix Area Dealers

A meetup idea sounds kinda cool. I'd set one up myself but I just moved here from NYC, and I have NO idea what there is to do for fun. I (edit: typo monster strikes again) really don't know how you guys can deal with it being 120 every day, either. I got fed up with the heat and car wash inducing false monsoon alarms and took the SRT to Huntington Beach for a few days.
...leapfrogged with a black Charger R/T (we were doing 120ish) for a while... I wonder if the driver visits these boards? If so ::waves::.

. . . we tell ourselves its a "dry heat", we stay indoors during the hottest hours of the day, and we smile smugly at the notion that we get 9 months of wonderful weather the rest of the year!

ROFL... If I hear "well, at least it's a dry heat" one more time, I might cry... or I might just start to believe it.
And staying indoors- My game consoles/ my computers are getting more use than ever... and I've become quite the recluse, joining my cat for extended naps all day. I never thought I'd say this, but I can't wait to go back to school.

Hey, didn't Hemi4me mention something about getting together here in AZ. If something does go down make sure I know about it. Hit me up with an e mail or something. Yeah but got to wait until we drop a few degrees.
