Magnaflow review anybody?

I missed the meet on Friday and wanted to see if any of you had the chance to hear the SRT8 with the Magnaflow system. I heard from fatchance already but wanted to see if others had an opinion.

Thanks!

Cbutler said it sounded good. More aggressive than stock, but not overkill. For the money, it might be worth it to buy it now. Fit & finish seem top-notch too.

I cut and past over here for you...
here you go:
rebel78

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can say that I heard plenty of it and it is sweet...
JKetron's ride (mr. supercharger to you and I) has it and I was next to him and behind him for the drive up and it is not much louder than our stock 300C SRT-8 version...
it does sound sweet...
the beauty of the meet this past Friday...
was all 3 were in the parking lot together and I heard them all...
here is my ranking...
Magnaflow #1
Borla #2
Zoomers #3
JMO, yours might differ.

From hearing these 3 exhausts, my opinion is, in no particular ranking or order:

- borla - barely different then stock. if u want the looks of the pipes, a more free flowing exhaust, but to retain maximum quiet, this is the way to go.

- zoomers - the 4" pipes are the perfect size, the sound is the meanest of the bunch, though it is not obnoxiously loud, it does reverberate a bit at lower speeds. at WOT and at cruising rpm's, the zoomers are easily the purest, best sound to my ears. WOT gives me goosebumps ;-) but a small % of humans will be turned off by the lower speed noise. the start up sounds amazing with the zoomers....i love that sound....start up is best by far of these 3.

magnaflow - nice look to it with the tad smaller then zoomers pipes, but nice shape and stylish lookin with the SS mufflers visible. more muffled mojo then the zoomers, a better WOT then the borla, but does not induce zoomers type goosebumps at WOT, but does exude a classy, cool, kinda upscale 8 cyl euro sound. (keep in mind, my opinions of the magnaflow are from hearing it outside the car, and from web clips...no actual driving experience, as i have had with the borlas and the zoomers.)

Thanks to all, it was helpful.

My only issue is that I'm not sure how these systems will react to the larger motor of the SRT. I want it loud at WOT but will lose it if there is resonance at low RPMs. I think the lack of MDS in the SRT might work in my favor. I've heard the Magnaflow clips and I understand the SRT Zoomers are coming soon. I too love the growl of the Zoomers, it just screams power.

300CGuy

this is why I didn't care for it:
it does reverberate a bit at lower speeds
when the guy who got on the throttle got off of it...
it kinda popped back and sputtered down twice when the revs were coming back to idle...
that I really didn't care for at all...
It is the loudestof the bunch, that was not the issue...
it just doesn't match up to the intent of the 300C SRT-8...
sleeper sedan with GOBS of power...
put a zoomer and everyone is looking at you...
put one of the other 2 on and not as many notice...
and the Magnaflow is the louder of the two between it and Borla...
