From SRTengineers -Thank you
To all our friends on the forums - we thank you for a great year of web chats and just want each of you to know that we will be back next year in full strength. Middle Wednesday in January and we'll let your moderators know which forum we'll be on. Special thanks to the moderators for all their help this year as we felt our way through a very exciting new chapter in the SRT book of great things to do. We've learned a lot about our customers and even a little about our cars. Happy Holidays to one and all.

A.) The 1-2 shift hesitation TSB has still not been released, can you give us the latest time frame on when we might see it?

B.) Will the TSB apply to both the LX and WK models?

C.) Is it true that dealers are now able to download the Flash file to perform the finalized update, ahead of the TSB release?

On a SRT8 charger the F/R tires are a different size, why? If tires were replaced with the same size (all 4) would the speedometer be accurate?

Thanks

First of all, I sure love my 300C SRT8. You guys did a great job with the car. I'm having what could be a problematic symptom with my coolant. It seems cloudy or milky like there is some kind of sediment floating around. Here's some photos and a little more info if you have time to read it:
Cloudy coolant - any thoughts/answers?

First of all, are you guys aware they overfill the coolant at the factory? Just seems so boneheaded - I know it's not you doing it.

What may be causing this coolant condition? It tested to -40 yesterday, my dealer is going to replace the reservoir next week and then we are going to flush it and see if it clouds up again. Have you seen this on your SRT track experience cars? Have you ever seen a 6.1L headgasket blowout or cause problems?

My car currently runs fine - very strong and my dealer mechanic says I shouldn't be too worried about this. I have read where one of your engineers described the 6.1 cooling system as "robust as we make". There are several other people with a similar condition to mine. Thanks for the help, keep rockin' it and I'll see you at a track experience in 2007!

Eric

I've got a question about my 2005 SRT-10:

1. I know 0w-40 is the recommended viscosity, but would it be a problem to run 10w-30 synthetic? It is easier to find in brands other than Mobil 1. I live in Houston, so cold starts aren't an issue.

I love my 300c SRT-8. However I have a lifter that bleeds down after a few hours and pumps back up after about 60 Sec.s at startup. It has done this since purchase 3/06. Should I be concerned.

Eric

What's the reason for changing the SRT shift programming on the 07 model SRT8, to mimic the 5.7s; where it shifts automatically at 6200rpm and not letting you keep it in first (either racing/road/track/burnout)

We would like you to run the 0-40 oil. 10w-30 is lighter than we would like.

Hello all. We're here but having some minor technical difficulties so we may be a little slow getting up to speed tonight. We should be up to speed shortly but we will get started now.
