Can't argue with that! Thanks for your time!

The engine controller puts rpm on the bus. ABS puts vehicle speed on the bus. Trans module uses this data, along with internal trans sensors, to shift according to a pre-defined schedule (with a slight amount of vehicle-to-vehicle adaptive learning included). The tach value you see in the cluster is pulled from the bus (same signal the TCM uses) but filters the signal so you won't see annoying dither. Because the GC can accelerate so fast in first, usually from an idle launch, the tach has the furthest to travel and the dampening effect is more pronounced. Do you notice more dampening when cold? There is an oil filling in the cluster that provides a mechanical dampening effect (in addition to the digital filter).

If he/she cars to inspect them, not as a warranty item for myself but more to help you guys with future product development. And also since you guys commented that you hadn't seen severe pad taper wear/
Look for a couple of guys there, names: Chris and Ralph.

In your opinions, On the Jeep SRT what is the weakest component for holding power in the whole powertrain? (ie tranny, rear end, tranfer case, etc...)

1. Is there any pending TSB about changing the noisy bilstein shocks over washboarb roads isue?

2. I like others have encountered the loss of power when the motor is running at full operating temperature, particularly on hot days. I have heard SRT owners say they have switched to a 176 or 180 degree thermostat and possibly also altered the rad fan to turn-on earlier. Am I able to have an dealer swich my thermostat to a 176 or 180 degree thermostat without impacting the warranty. Is there an mopar/SRT accessory that will make the fan turn on at lower temps?

3) I have heard of owners getting more horsepower out of their motors using a diablo predator decive. Does using such a devivise void the warranty?

4) When I first start-up in the cold, my tranny feels like it is slipping. I have heard others say the same. My car is stored in the winter and will only be on the road in the spring. Will the dealer be able to find the problem in the warmer weather?

I have a mopar CAI and want to add a mopar cat-back exhaust, What would the total HP gain from the two items together.

Thanks a lot!!!

.......no tsb on the Bilsteins

.......changing the thermostat effects the cal and the emissions...therefore the warranty is void if somethings goes boom

.....the Diablo will void the warranty

.....sounds like low fluid level....your dealer should be able to check......

Thanks again!

A few 2007 SRT8 owners have successfully installed 2006 TCMs with the old style hold a gear Autostick.

hypothetically speaking ... what would happen if someone using a Starscan attempted to install 2006 software in a 2007 TCM?

So basically is the 2006 TCM and 2007 TCM - "Hardware" the same?

I expect a semi political answer ... but hey I figure it is worth a shot with you guys.

And as always thanks for staying late to deal with us and our questions. You guys rock.
