The tach value you see in the cluster is pulled from the bus (same signal the TCM uses) but filters the signal so you won't see annoying dither. Because the GC can accelerate so fast in first, usually from an idle launch, the tach has the furthest to travel and the dampening effect is more pronounced. Do you notice more dampening when cold? There is an oil filling in the cluster that provides a mechanical dampening effect (in addition to the digital filter).

If you mean cold as in operating Temp. I have never ran it up when it's cold ( O.T. ). As far as the outside Temp. I haven't owned it when the Outside Temp. has been warm, purchased in late Nov. Something that might be relevant to this problem. Things that are controled by a Computer, don't know which one, keep going goofy. Examples: Wipers turn on when the windshield is dry and the Sun is out, Headlights come on and stay on in bright daylight, Auto headlight dimmer sort of works when it feels like it but when they stop working the switch has to be reset, Wipers don't come on when the Windshield is so wet you can't see through it, this is most of the time, when the engine is at idle it will shut down not a complete stall but all most then regain it's RPMs and be allright, the drivers side window in Auto Mode will go up and than back down this may happen 3 or4 times then it's allright.

Next Gen LX SRT Models:

-Steering Wheel Paddles attached to a 7speed gear box. Maybe with a clutch instead of a converter at least more driver control of the gear box ... shift quality (sport modes and the like)

-A mechanical limited slip option at least for the SRTs

-I know the ESP/TC can be disabled. But when it is on it actually makes the car harder control at the limit. It confuses turning into a slide as a desire to head that direction. Maybe a system less dependent on the SAI(Steering Angle Indicator)

-Variable cam timing (But I bet that is coming)

-Most important try to keep the SRT breed's main focus as a true "Performance Car" and don't go soft on performance to appeal to the masses that seem to buy the SRT's just becuase they are the most expensive model and not because they want true performance.

Thanks for asking!!
1. Lighter weight (certain size reduction okay - say 3800-3850lbs ala the LS2 CTS-V)
2. A more "refined" interior,
3. Manual tranny option
4. Memory seats and wheel (I own a Charger)
5. LIMITED SLIP DIFF
6. A non-painted piece under the front spoiler that isn't so noisy and can be replaced cheaply (ala Corvette)
7. A more accurate tach at WOT
8. A faster, harder shifting tranny in "sport" or non-ESP mode.
9. More power
10. More gear ratios (lot of 6, 7 and now 8spd autos)

Yes...WITHOUT using a supercharger! I love to say how Chrysler products put out massive horsepower without using special things (exception SRT-4) such as turbo's, superchargers, blowers, etc. I love raw horsepower!

There are some people who say that the EVIC 0-60 timer isn't accurate.

How accurate is the EVIC 0-60 timer ?

There are currently no plans to provide optional ratios, TODAY. So you know, the transmission and ESP cals along with the engine cals , would all have to be changed as they all work off of trans out speed.
