Hi,

Thank you all for your hard work.

My question is this: where can I get MODE and PID and BIT information so I can get data through my OBD2 port. Specifically looking for transmission temperature and information about MDS.

Thanks!
Joey

Thats all I needed to know, I really do not want to have to go through all of that. I love the handling as it is and do not want to take away from the handling I have now. Thanks for the answers....

Check with your local Mopar Performance Dealer for pricing. One thing to note, the TCM is part of the LX Performance Package and requires the use of the Mopar Torque Converter and ECU with an increased RPM limiter. The Mopar ECU is calibrated to work with the Mopar Camshaft, Headers, Exhaust System and CAI. It is best to use all these parts as complete package.

Question,

What's the stock stall speed for the Jeep SRT? Is the converter any different than the other LX cars, or models that use the same transmission?

Thanks and keep up the good work!!

the stall speed on the GC is about 2800rpm. The torque ratios are different between the GC and the LX's..Gc is a bit looser.....

Am I going to cause damage to the transfer case or transmission by doing this, or shorten its life noticably?
We would agree with you on the strategy but in the very long run, not the best thing to be doing on a automatic gear box. Can not comment on reduced life as we do not test for it.

Many new technologies will be coming out with the push for improved fuel economy.

When might the drivesrt.com website be updated with Challenger info?

I think this has been asked before in a previous chat, but cannot remember. Was there a particular reason as to why the Caliber SRT-4 didn't have an automatic w/autostick option?

Is anyone at Chrysler aware of the Air Conditioning issues with the SRT4? I asked about this a year ago and was told someone on the team would contact me, but they never did.

Basically the AC cycles between cold air and warm moist stinky air every min or 2.

Here is the 8 page thread on SRTforums:
srtforums.com/forums/f10/ac-kicking-off-too-fast-not-cooling-good-264103/]AC[/url] kicking on and off too fast and not cooling good? - SRT Forums - SRT4, SRT6, SRT8, SRT10 & Dodge Forum

My other Question; Is it more fuel efficient to Keep the car in gear going down a hill ( I am assuming the engine does not use fuel when your foot is off the gas pedal???) or putting it in Neutral ( and the car uses fuel to idol ) and gaining momentum that being in gear would gobble up?

Thanks
Ben

What you may be seeing is this change from vehicle to vehicle and year to year. The GC also accelerates faster than the LXs so tach lag is more pronounced on that application in first gear.

Sorry I don't want to beat a dead horse here but what I'm saying is that MY 2008 GCSRT8 is shifting to soon between 1st and 2nd at WOT. Since what ever causes the Trans. to shift is not looking at the Tach. than what is telling the Trans. to shift to soon or even to shift at all. Could the TCM be the culprit?
