Anti-theft device

Does anyone have any suggestions for keeping an SRT8 secure in the event of an attempted theft? The only device I've ever felt reasonably safe with was Grant's removable-steering-wheel anti-theft system. But that was on older vehicles without airbags

I just got my srt8 yesterday.......I'm getting the Lowjack from the dealer.
I guess the Lowjack has a system where if your car even moves or gets broken into or anything..........your cell phone rings, you can have an email notify you, your home phone etc.

I will be getting a alarm start as well.

Short of a flatbed, it's virtually impossible to take a car equipped with the Sentry Key system. Of course, with a flatbed, it goes. Then your only hope is a lojack type system.

Dont bother wasting your money on immobilizers, you have one of the best immoblilzer systems on the planet already, the SKIS. Your only concern is tracking a flatbed with your car on it. I know Lojack is supposed to rock where it works, in urban areas. For me, that would not work. A member of the SRTforums fronts for a company called vehiclelocate.net

I know Dale Seeley used it in his 2005 One Lap of America car, the entire were able to see his progress real time. Road speed, lat/long/ the whole deal. Seemed pretty cool, its a GPS based system.

And before we get into the seemingly obligatory "My buddy the car thief can take ANY car", or "That university team cracked it", or "I can just short out some wire", please, PLEASE, research PKI type RFID security. Ford cheaped out and only went one level, DCX did not.

Oh, I forgot, the "If a crooked tech called in your VIN and cut a new key thing" that does not work unless he has access to your car with a programming tool or both your original keys.

Thanks for the input---keep it coming. I'll do some more research. I especially like the python-under-glass idea. But, I'm thinking boa!! That'll teach those bastards.

70GT6, funny you should mention nohotwire.com. I just came across their ad in C&D---nice legs btw. The concept sounds interesting. Anyone have any experience with this system?
