Magnaflow 3" cats

Does anyone know when the Magnaflow Highflow cats that were talked about and installed on someones car will be ready for sale? I have the catback setup but want to do it all at once. Thanks,

Salty

psaltonstall...

the "cats" were "built" on my car...
the jig set, so to speak...
taken off and used for the production runs...
I have not been contacted yet to go and get them (production high flow cats) re-installed...
will let you know once that happens...
it was supposed to be 2-3 weeks...
and we are running into week #3...

chasb...

there are going to be High Flow "cats" soon from Magnaflow...
think of it this way...
the current "cat-back" exhaust system from Magnaflow and others is what alot of people have been modding lately...
it would be stage 3 from the engine...
stage 2 - "cats"
stage 1 - headers
hope this helps...
Sincerely,

OK SO these are

new high flow catalytic converters that go before the Magnaflow catback.

I think I got it.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Is this eta reasonable from Magnaflow. I may just wait and have them and the catback system installed all at once, like Salty

fyi - the factory down pipes and cats are a very healthy 2.75 in. i dont think a cat swap is going to gain much power unless you are going to a complete 3 in. mid pipe. and then the power gain will not be huge. my 2cents.

Here is a previous post on the offering John ... 2.75" upgraded to 3.00" and number of bends reduced:

----------------------------

Here they are, or I should say here is half:

Some dyno numbers and data should be following over the next few days.

Dyno Chart Data:

I was a little supprised how well the car responded to the cats ... enough where I will actually do some bench testing to see where it picks up the power.

So far as I can read these are good for about 9 WHP @ peak and 6-7 WHP on average. Torque is good for about 10 @ peak and 6-7 on average.

Solid 6-7 HP and 6-7 lb-ft of torque is not too shabby. Got to love the 6.1L of Displacement ... make even the smallest modification take notice.

Stock Parts:

MagnaFlow Parts:
