New Cold Air Kit Design Coming

There is a lot of discussion on this board about cold air kits. I dont know what they do for the 5.7's but i can tell you that there is 5 rw hp to be gained by letting the 6.1 breathe better. Also, the SRT guys that took 6th overall in the One Lap ran the Mopar kit. So i think its proven. If you want to debate this or think I am smoking crack, then stay stock and dont get one.

Now for everybody else who is interested, let me say that I think the kits out there that I have seen all look good. the mopar kit is a nice kit.

but we will show you our design next week and let you decide if its a better design. before we show it off we plan to get to the track and put it into action rather than just stroke it off here with a bunch of words and a few bling pics.

anyway, not trying to be a tease here. just saying that if you are considering a cold air kit for your SRT8 you might want to tune in about this time next week for details.

thanks.

John, you gonna put an enclosure around your cold air kit? My bigget issue with so many CAI is that the intake is just out in the open in the engine bay. Also, are you proporting that the gain in power is from the air being cooler or more of it? Finally, does the +5rwhp figure come from a car that already has had mods done to it (of any sort, but most noteably exhaust mods or intake manifold mods)?
