Re: Autostick

Also should i raise the shift points which raies the rev limiter to or keep it how it is? It just says raised shift points or stock. Doesnt let me raise them to a exact number. Any opinions? Right now im running a 93 tune. And after you modify tunes do you have to compketely reinstall the 93 tune? Thanks

Sounds like you have an 06 SRT that doesn't upshift automatically. If that's the case all you can do is take it to the dealer and have your PCM re-flashed to the updated version. The predator won't be able to help you there.

If it is not upshifting on it's own, there isn't anything you can do with the programmer to fix the issue except to make sure you haven't changed the setting from Stock to another setting. It's a dealer reflash to the TCM.

You don't have to reload a tune once you modify it. You just need to save the changes.

Re: Autostick

Yes its an 06. I wasnt aware that with that yr it didnt auto upshift..Good to know though. Whats a reflash run price wise? So should i b running the raised shift points or stick with stock in the modify tune section?

Re: Autostick

It will downshift on its own but not upshift..In the modify tune section the auto stick says either no change,stock,mode1,mode2, &mode3. Ive just kept it at no change because i dont know what all the other modes mean..just seems car has alot more torque in 1-2 and 2-3 in auto stick then in D. Pretty much can burn tires off

Autostick

I called up 2 dealers in my area thinking it would be a half hour of labor. But they wanted $150 as a diagnostic fee. I'm happy with my car not upshifting lol.

LOL...it just keeps ya from bumping the rev limiter if ya forget to manually shift.

For the op, I have my shift points set where the car makes the most HP. Anything above that is a waste as HP starts to drop off and you wanna keep it square in the power band.

And yes, the car will have more power in 1, 2 or 3 as you are running a higher RPM. Look at it this way...at 25 mph in first gear you are running a lot higher RPM than 25 mph in 4th gear.

Re: Autostick

Lol yeah thats pretty much what auto upshift would be good for. That and if your trying to focus on the road because your half sideways instead of the rpm But always good info guys. Appreciate it
