Question For those SRT8 owners who still have stock 20s

I will need new tires soon on my 06 SRT8 300 and my current setup is 245/45/20 for the fronts and 255/45/20 for the rears and still stock height. I was wondering as to what other SRT8 owners that are not lowered have as far as tire size is concerned and also what is the widest that I can go with for the rears along with what brand of tires?

Re: For those SRT8 owners who still have stock 20s

I've ran 275/40/20 all around Hankook Ventus RH06's a really good tire and very affordable all season... Then I had 275/40's up front 315/35/20's out back Nitto INVOs very expensive but great summer tire. The widest recommended for our wheels is the 275... But you can run wider. I love the way the 315 looks but if you drive aggressive it can get a lil squishy in the corners. There are tons of other combos to run but those are most common. Your weather conditions and driving style are also determining factors... If you provide those I can steer ya in the right direction.

Well I would prefer all season for sure since mine is a daily driver. TX weather can vary so I just never know if it's going to rain one day and the next day extremely hot and I also drive about 20-30 miles a day and as for my driving style, I don't do too much aggressive driving since I would rather not get pulled over for speeding or reckless driving but I do have a bit of fun on open highways every so often though.

Re: For those SRT8 owners who still have stock 20s

Sounds like the Hankooks would be perfect for you. They are quiet have decent grip wear excellent and priced right. Oh and the look good too. 275/40/20 all around allows you to rotate them and give you a wide patch on each corner of the car. You can also Google the reviews for more info

I was considering going with the same size tires all the way around so I can rotate them but I have grown fond of the staggered look though.

I just got a set of Pirelli P-Zero's, stock size fronts, 275/40s for the rear. Come on spring! I want to test these puppies!

For those SRT8 owners who still have stock 20s

Checked out the Hankook Ventus RH06... Is it an SUV tire? Any issues with running those on an SRT8 300? I found them for about half the price of the Michelin Pilot SS that I was about to pull the trigger on... Makes it hard not to consider the Hankooks.

Most... I say most... Tires in 20" are SUV tires... The Hankooks work just fine on our 2 ton cheetahs
