0W/40 synthetic is what you need. Nothing more, nothing less.

They did switch to this oil somewhere in 09 or 10 for all models. However Mobil 1 is fine.

srt oil?

If you put anything pennzoil in your car you don't really know what good oil is. Mobil 1 or nothing at all. And buy a catch can!

^^^Utter baloney. The oil recommended is by type and grade in the manual, NOT by brand.

All the pennzoil myths are a million years old, their newer formulas are excellent and I would use them in a heartbeat if the value was there.

That said, M1 0W-40 is one of the most lauded oils on the planet that passes a lot of OEM specs.

srt oil?

Lauded how? Mobil 1 was the first company to create synthetic oil. And as far as pennzoil I had worked for a Chrysler dealership and the problems that conventional and synthetic pennzoil caused was crazy. I owned a WJ at the time and when I first bought the jeep it had a crazy lifter tick when it was running pennzoil. I immediately changed to a high mileage valvoline and the tick disappeared. Same issue happened with my 300 and switched to mobil 1. The only reason pennzoil is recommended is because Chrysler has a contract with pennzoil. If you want to run mediocre oil in your car go with pennzoil. If you don't believe me do some research.
