My new wheels

These are Giovanna Ararat 20" X 8 1/2". The lip is polished aluminum, but looks black in the picture because of the reflection. I wanted to keep the stock tires so thats why I had to go with the 8 1/2" rim.
And for Chris, yes the paint is still good on the brakes. It's just that they don't show as well with the new wheels. Cecil..........

What I'm I missing??????

I like the wheels and the painted Brembos. However, I don't understand why so many 8 owners are changing the wheels.

First of all, the factory wheels look incredible! They are the perfect blend of bling with out the gangsta or DUB look..

Second, we all paid a few thousand extra over the standard C. Part of the extra dinero was for the wheels.

If I had an extra $1500-$2000 burning a hole in my pocket, it would go to improving the stereo or buying another plasma for the house.

I don't know, maybe it's just me.

I totally agree with you AMG. the SRT8 wheels are sweet I wouldn't change them(just my opinion), I would love to put some on my 300c but I wouldn't feel right about doing that since its not an SRT

I agree!! The SRT wheels are GREAT looking. I've found a source that will widen mine to 10" in the rear so I'll be able to "stagger" the tires. The front will either be 245/45 or 255/45 and then the rear on the wider 10" STOCK SRT RIM will either be a 275/40 or a 295/40!! Can't wait to see the looks when everyone studies how a 295 fit so beautifully on a STOCK RIM????

Did I step into an alternate universe? Cecil I thought you just had a post (HERE) about wanting your SRT8 to have a little more badging so you put the extra SRT8 badges on the side. But now you just got rid of the very special SRT8 marked wheels??? Was this someone else or did I misunderstand?? Sorry, not bashing just confused.

Nothing wrong with SRT8 wheels. Its just that I like these wheels better and I don't mind spending the money for them. You guys shouldn't get upset because I like to see my car in a different light. I'm showing this to give those people that have a warped mind, like mine, to do something different. I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything. Just another option. Cecil.......

Nice style with the black.

How much do those wheels weigh?

Cecil...

I have been a firm believer from day 1 after seeing these rims, not to change them...
I am going to stay that way for quite a while...
But yours do several things...
#1 - look cool...
#2 - they "make" the car...
#3 - they eliminate ALOT of the barke dust problems!!!
is there any other reason beyond #3???!!!

Thanks for the update on the brake paint issue - I'll get ahold of you soon...
I have had $850.00 and $500.00 to do all four...
and before anyone else suggests it...
3 brakes would be the same as 4...

NR-I wish I had used a scale on them, but to late now. But, by seat of the pants feel, I think the new ones are a tad lighter.

MVPatriot-Price was around $1400 for everything. Tax, mounting, balance, etc., etc..........

Chris-If your ever out this way and have most of a day to kill, I'll paint those valve covers or brakes for you at no charge. You pay for the supplies needed and pull some weeds around my house while I work on your car. Cecil..........
