kill story - nope - just respect...

alright boys and girls...
so I am of to Costco after dropping off the cupcakes for my daughter's birthday tomorrow for her class today...
yeah, makes sense to me also after 2 cocktails...
right now as I type - NOT this morning while driving; you _____ fill in the blank...
so I am tooling along the frontage road near the house...
and have some of the typical construction guy trucks (during the day)...
and then I see the black pearl behind me about 5 cars back...
was it the front end that grabbed my attention that this was no ordinary car that I have always had wet dreams about since 13?
My ultimate car - is a RUF Turbo - top speed - 207mph...
in fact anything RUF does...
Who cares at this point though...
This was not your run of the mill Porsche...
oh, no...
that front end bottom facia reminds me of my car...
not too many Porcshe's with facia on the front for downforce...
so he works his way up - ( I, of course hold my lane back and let a couple of rabbits go in their F-150's...)
so we line up at the light finally after a mile or two...
I look over and get no response...
are those yellow seat belts?
wait, those are yellow 5-point seat belts!
does he even know I am here...
he is on the phone...
So I light them up off the light and take off and don't lift thru 3rd gear until hitting 4th...
ok, I can take the 105mph...
don't ask where this is...
ok, my name and location are bad enough to have on my sig...
and he pulls up at the next light...
I figure he wants none...
and don't even look over...
I look out of the corner of my eye though...
he is not looking again...
whatever...
another really nice Porsche in my neighborhood that someone doesn't know how to drive to its potential...
well the light changes and his is in it...
WOAH dude!
wait a sec...
so I am a car length back already off of the line...
and I read the rear badge...
GT3
holy SH$%!!!
now I know what the 5-point seat belt is for!!!
so I get into it...
and start climbing back into the fray...
and slid up to the door by second...
and by third I am nose to nose...
so I debate on turning on to the freeway and continue this and cut a concrete truck off (hey he was empty!) NOT going to happen!
or go straight...
I went straight...
trust me...
if I could have not endangered anyone...
I would have been on that on-ramp with him...
we wave adio to each other...
keep in mind this was 9:35am..
So this afternoon I go hit golf balls with the daughter and I am on the phone on the way home after picking up some fish to add to the pond from Petco...
and I pull over to finish the conversation with my buddy...
when on a totally different road (but one that leads back to my house and it looks like his) he drives by!!!
I am in the conversation dropping the phone...
dropping in it gear and get 3 cars behind him...
we go off for the next 2 miles not even sniffing each other as there is too much traffic and cars in between...
so now after some people turn...
I am one car behind him; a suburban though...
please move lady...
ain't happening...
she even slows down...
don't tempt me going around you...
mmm...
hold your place Chris, you daughter is in the car...
so no matter what happens you are not racing this guy again...
(I say to myself, yes you are right, no racing, but I want him to know I am there!!!)
so she finally makes the right turn...
I pull up on the right and he is on the phone again...
looks over...
sees the car...
and waves a BIG thumbs up...
put the phone down...
and yells to me...
is that thing tricked out or something?!!!
I replyt - nah, just an exhaust system...
so what is in that?
a 425hp SUPER- HEMI!
holy ****, is that fast!
I could not believe you came back up on me this morning after leaving the light...
wanna run?
nah, daughter in the back seat right now...
opps , sorry.
no worries...
I say - next time my friend...
my "new" friend that is...
next time...
I turn and of course get into it...
for 1 shift...
can't do more than the speed limit with the girl in the car...
no matter how much she says to go faster daddy...
GOSH, I LOVE THIS CAR!!!

Let the flames begin! (LOL)
Chris,
You gotta lot of me in you!

I did a couple of short bursts with a new MB yesterday. It had the "Kompresor" badge, was a convertible and did not look stock or like any MB I have ever seen. Looked real BAD!

Pretty sure there was a "55" in the model number's badge. Anyway. A woman was driving it and was on the other side of the car next to me. We both rolled out in front of the guy in the middle and then took off. Of course I over-revved it in Auto-Stick (it shut down for a beat) and that is when I noticed the badging. On the back of her car!

Went down to two lanes. Now we're almost to HB pier mind you on PCH. Dropped her into D the second run and rolled away from the light to make sure she was up for it again. She hit it, and from a roll I actually pulled up to her front bumper as I hit 3rd and shut down. It seemed like I was actually pulling her but it was a really short burst. I made and she missed the next light, which was like 1st St. Right down town!

This thing was real quick! Fastest thing I have gotten next to yet! Actually the first thing I haven't just smoked!

I've been on the internet today looking at 06 MB convertibles and even called the MB dealer in Newport today. Talked to two sales people and gave them my description of the car. Both of them figured it was a SL55. The pictures I found on the internet of the SL55 looked like this car except it had aftermarket wheels and tires. I told the sales people that I had heard that that model doesn't come with the "Kompressor" badge and they both said that they have had several customers that had had that badge added to the AMG.

That thing is supposed to be 469 HP and lighter by 500 lbs. It was a short run but the SRT8 held it's own I'll tell you.
KK

OK. Now let's get those flame throwers going! (LOL)

here's where it gets better.......if it was an E55 it was 469hp......if it was aCL55/SL55 it had 493hp. The E seems to be the quickest of the bunch...the SL and CL are really heavy cars....my buddy has a CL55 and the "kompressor" badge is on his....he didn't add it

Alright Chris, what kind of neighborhood do you live in with a RUF driving around.

I thought I was keeping up with the Jones but this is to much.

Good stuff

hey guys and gals

been out for the last 2 days...
Club Championship - qualifier Sat. and match play yesterday (won 8&7)...
jconnelly1119 - THANKS! No cats yet... bltfed1500 are you listening - hint, hint...
and one of my neighbors dates a guy who lives a bout a 1/4 mile away and he has 5 Benz's and one is a 55 AMG Kompressor and a 65 AMG Kompressor - I think - I'll check in the next coupl of days when he is over...
Skyline2872 - Thanks! There are Mustang's down in your neck of the woods... trust me they are there...
too funny on the mini-vans...
did you get my PM on the TSB regarding the spoiler?
And how is the paint?
AMGHunter - uh, I live in the Ghetto of my neighborhood...
I am in SD technically - but next to Rancho Santa Fe, Fairbanks Ranch and horseshoed by a new development called Santa Luz...
I live in a small home for around here at 2,700 sq. ft.
most are double and some are just out right ridiculous...
Let's put it this way...
Last Wed. I was behind a brand new DB9 Aston Martin - paper plates still on it... wouldn't run - and nowhere to go anyways - too much traffic...
yesterday - I saw driving home on the road (going the other way of course)...
1-360 Ferrari, a "real" Bentley (in fact 2 - different body style on the second - I'll have to check my automags- ), and the new Maserati...
Boys and their toys world...
