Wish list for 2007 model

If you made a list of things to keep and change for the 07 model, what would it look like?

By the way, if you know the actual changes taking place in 07, please list.

I'll start with my wish list.

Changes:

1. Brakes
2. Brakes
3. Brakes
4. MDS/6.1 (why can't we have this)?
5. Less plastic on door panels and hint of wood trim in cabin, very little.
6 Locking gas cover
7. Handle on trunk lid
6. 6 speed (CTS-V7).
7. Custom SRT8 floor mats, come on DCX, this one is a no-brainer.

That's it's, minor stuff because this car is close to perfect.

Don't change:

1. The wheels
2 Front fascia
3. Seats
4. Instrument cluster
These items truly make the car unique to the automotive world.

Slight changes:

Replace black carpet with grey. Black shows every speck of dirt. Maybe I'm obsessive, but I have to vacuum every time I clean the brake dust. It's to much like house work for me!

1) Brakes....this kind of goes wothout saying, but I would just be happy to have an alternate pad
just for the street....

2) I'd actually redo the insterior a bit, but I wouldn't mind having two options..........something with some wood would be cool, but I also think there should be a darker option.....mostly darker grey and black.

3) locking cap or gas-cap release inside the cabin by the driver seat.(come on DCX...this isn't expensive

4)mats would have been cool. The aftermarket ones look great......not alot of money here either.

5) Charger suspension package....25% stiffer would be very cool.

6)Wife wants an "oh s**t handle above passenger door

7)Stereo...............lose the Boston Acoustics and lose the Kicker. Put the Mark Levinson rig in that Lexus has been using(lately) and you could charge WHATEVER you wanted for it. Far and away the best sounding STOCK rig on the road.

8) A better final gear. 3.73......?????...........maybe????

9)Touch screen Navigation.......driving an Acura will spoil you with this.....you can also make entries on the fly with voice command and traffic reports. Probably only a few hundred more......

10) Twin Turbos.............this is a joke!! .....like we really need 800hp......althought it sure would be fun......

all in all I really like this car ALOT, wouldn't change much but it would be nice just to have some different options. I also know that I probably(without the twin-turbos ) just added $5000.00 to the base price, but I'd pay it because then instead of competing with cars in the $75-100,000 range, you'd basically be pulling the gloves off and taking everybody on $100,000 and beyond. DCX does have the perfect price point right now though........but I'd pay $5000.00 more

I think they should pay some more attension to the interior areas that see the most activity. like around the key entry area for the ignition(chrome scratches easy) , and around the radio, center pod area and shifter area. Im thinkin the decorative trim is going to wear to easy.

.... "HEADS UP" display on windshield would be nice.
Dress up the Interior-as most 300 owners had to do.
More choices;colors,wheels,interior -colors,material,etc.
Grab Handle passenger side, and rear seating.
Option on diferential gearing
.

Rear camera, this car has high hips and needs more than sonar.

Keys are from 2 centuries ago, Fob in pocket, push button start, auto lock when leaving the car, auto unlock when approaching. (not like BMW which has keyless go but requires you to stick the fob in the dash and push the start button, what's the point, might as well turn the fob (key) to start, I can cee DC doing something this silly.

Speed sensitive steering, finger light for parking, Porsche/BMW tight at speed.

Nurburgring tuned suspension, make it handle like a Caddy (would you ever think Caddy would beat BMW around the 14 mile ring, I think they are serving popsicles in hell.)

DVD based audio like Acura, I agree lose the DC spec BA paper whizzer cone speakers and kicker (so juvinile). Quality spkrs and sub.

what I would like to have: all windows should go up (close) when pressing lock button on remote-keyfob for more than 2 secs.. (damn, my 10 year old Audi already had this feature)

Granted I only have a 300C but I'm guessing this is the same on the SRT-8. Anyone have problems seeing if the cruise control is on or off by the little light on the handle? my steering wheel always blocks it. It would be nice if they could redesign that.

To any avail just be glad you dont have 50 extra parts in the motor anyways ... parasitics and pontential failures are emminant.

Hey Johnny Vig...I guess that 1. he has not seen the Kicker speakers or listened for that matter and 2. he thinks that we are "Juvinile".....As far as I know Kicker is the only OE company using Ploy cones and Titanium domes as well as the most advanced DSP...I guess name not sound is what is important to some
