One week with the CSRT8

After 4 months of waiting, I finally took delivery of my 300C SRT8 on the 10th. Now 1300 miles of it, already pulled over for 78 in a 55 (but talked my ways out), cruising along at 75 when someone pulled out in front of me (the Bremos work well ), 5% tint all around, all I can say is that I love it!

We did have a little snow last Thursday, but the car handled it well. Only complaint that I have is all the brake dust, but the local car wash is always there for me. I am trying to remind myself constantly that the front nose is only 5" off the ground and staying aware of curbs.

I must say this site helped me through the months of waiting, the only other thing I might add is the ability to watch DVDs on the front screen!

Great Car

Welcome to the Fun, sounds like you might need to get some of that speed out of your system and get to a track ASAP so you can get down to the speed limit,,i know how hard that is at times yet IT's New and soo fun to drive. What Color did ya get? Most of all have fun. Isn't it great that most unsuspecting sports cars have No idea what your driving.

Glad you finally got your car!!
Good job talking yourself out of the ticket. I don't even try any more, I just accept the fact I will get written up. Wish there was a way to drive your car at a superspeedway on occasion. Nurburgring here is like 15 bucks a lap on the nordschleife, which is about 9 miles a lap.

What are you paying for? GJust get on the Autobahn, and blast it... The A5 from Heidelberg to Frankfurt Usually get me going. Hate it when bastards don't get out of my way though.

Oh, I haven't paid yet, but I will just to actually drive a piece of F1 and European racing history.

You know, on my first tour in the late 80's, Germans would not get in the left lane at all unless it was totally clear (behind them for the uninitiated, you have to drive your rearview mirror) for at least 600 meters. Now it seems they think that as long as they signal, its ok to pull out in front of you no matter what your speed. Wish I had the *uts to smash into them sometimes.

I use the A45 from Giessen to Hanau a lot, little traffic there, but not as many lanes as the A5.

Oh Sorry... Congrats by the way... Oh, and if you ever make it to Germany... the A5 for a stretch is 5 lanes of unadulterated Speed, and no matter how fast you go... there will be someone going faster. Just make sure you flash the car in front of you at least 1/4 of a mile as you are coming up on them... It's illegal to do it, but hey... get's them out of your way.

It is not illegal to flash the car ahead of you in Germany. Women expose their breasts all the time in Germany, it's no big deal over there! Hmmm, lots of breasts and the Autobahn, why did I come back again?
