Installing GSM head/intake package

I dropped the car off yesterday at GSM to have the "A" head/intake Package installed. I have the Magnaflow catback on the car now so I'm just having the high flow cats put on instead of the long tube headers. I'm also deleting the polish on the outside of the intake for the stealth look. Picking the car up Saturday. I cannot wait to get it back!

Hp increases are Good

Sounds great, now do you have a baseline with the car before this mod so you will have a benchmark to compare improvement to. should be awesome. Looking forward to hearing what your impression is of the package.

I dynoed the car on Friday before I took it down, but I'm pretty sure Scott will have it dynoed both prior to and after the install.

The ceramic coating on the intake is there for heat transfer purposes I believe. You might not get the full effect of the mod without it.

Anyone else that buys this package and doesnt want the bling effect, get a hold of me and I will trade you my stock intake for your shiny one, no problem

I'm trying to avoid any questions regarding the warranty for as long as possible, so I don't want to make it too obvious.

Thumbs up Congrats!

Congrats ahead of time! You will not be dissapointed!

Looking forward to your numbers. By the way, how do you drive your car, aggressively or conservatively? The reason I ask is that going by what has been discussed on previous posts, the car's computer adjusts to the driver (I'm only assuming this is correct, don't know for sure). If you drive aggressively, it is likely your numbers will be better than mine (great for you, does better justice to this mod) very cool!

Best wishes, I have absolutely no regrets!

Mark,

Do you have long tube headers on your car? I would think the headers should help make some more power. I can't wait to get it back.

Wow you waste no time. Can't wait for the reviews. Did you get a preliminary guess of the gains?

Yes I had the Kooks along with the Magnaflows installed by GSM the end of November. Very happy with them, however I still think it is somewhat unclear of exactly how much the Kooks offer in addition to the Magnaflows particularly since Magnaflow went with the high flow cats that Chris B had such great results with. Chris posts that he drives aggressively, which brings me to my point about how different driving habits may affect the dyno numbers. I drive quite the opposite (but believe me, I do find ways to appreciate this new power!).

300CUL8R did you see the dyno sheets posted by Scott last week for this mod?

I've seen the dyno sheet on the GSM site showing a 58 rwhp gain. Since I'm going to use the high flow cats and Magnaflow exhaust, I would be happy with 30 to 40 rwhp. (Although, I've been told to expect more). That would get me up to about 420 to 430 rwhp from my baseline of about 382 rwhp. (That is actual NOT corrected hp for those who might be interested).
