Great deal for a stripper...............

No not that kind of stripper. A base model SRT-8, $40,992. Kind of hard to pass that up if you just want the speed and handling without some of the extras.

Looks like there is still more time hence the price will probably rise. Additionally, if you have cash, you can get these fully loaded for 44 to 45K.

I've got a stripper and it works for me. I guess the options are sunroof (I've got the Benz 380SL for sunshine), nav (I know where I am going) + kicker, rear entertainment (I don't want my kids watching it) and side curtain airbags. I saved money on my "stripper" which cost me not much more than a "loaded" non-SRT.

This is a decent deal. I did a bit better because I bought at the very end of 2005. The $40,992 is a buy-it-now price, the seller might accept less. The "loaded" ones seem to be more popular, so perhaps one gets a better discount on one without options.

I'm with you Artichoke. I have no interest in a sunroof, the kids are rarely in my car, and I can find my way without a Nav system. The only option I would have like to have was the Kicker system but no biggie.

I got my "stripper" for $41,600.

Here, here, Artichoke. Another stripper checking in. Wow, never in my life would I, a man, thought I would refer to myself as a "stripper" woo hoo. Want a table dance big boy. LOL.

I feel the same Artichoke and Humongo. It is too darn hot here in Texas for a sun roof, I seek the shade. I am also 6'4", I lose head room with a sunroof. If I want to watch a movie, I have a big screen at home for that. I know where I am going as well, if I do get lost, a $1.50 gas station map will get you down the road. I bought the car for the Driving experience, the brute force of this sexy sedan. My "stripper SRT" was $39,920.

Humongo, don't worry about not getting the kicker system. I always add my own equipment for my systems, that way I get what I want, not kicker. Plus I can build it out to my specs. The boston acoustics we get are ok, but they are not there Pro series BA's. You go get what you want Humongo, crank it up and rip off the knob.

The Three Strippers

"The Three Strippers" Humongo, Freebird and Artichoke. Hm, The Three Tenors did OK and I think we got a better name! The Three Musketeers did even better, we might not do as well as that ... and if we find a few more like us, we can be the Strippers of the Round Table!

Freebird you got me beat, by $80. Mine was $40,000 + tax. I turned down invoice, then the salesman called me back and made his "final offer". I didn't want to worry about it any more so I said OK. It was the Christmas season after all ;-)

Does the Kicker system have better speakers than we have, or just more of them? Do we have dome tweeters? For a car stereo I'm mainly interested in midrange and that the treble not hurt my ears (horn tweeters often do), and this system seems OK.

Looking at the description, this is more than a stripper. That makes it even a better deal.
