Raced a JeepSRT8....

Reston VA-

This guy must have hustled to catch up with me since I never saw him coming, but there we were at a stop light together. Two SRT8s. What are the odds?

I looked over at the guy but his windows were tinted, I figured he wouldnt of bought the freakin car if he didnt want to occasionally get on it. Light goes green and I floor it (traction was off), I must have caught him off guard, thought I had the jump, but while I was shredding my rubber he heard me squeal and he launched hard, and even though I took off first I heard NO WHEEL SPIN, and he had caught up to me fast, we were neck to neck from then on, maybe he got me by a nose at the next light where we had to stop....

I spiritedly waved and turned off. The Jeep really hauls

I um, cough test drove the SRT8 this weekend at the Meet & Greet in Anaheim...
THANKS SCOTT!!!
Scott from GS Motorsports has one and tossed me the keys...
Tmagnum and ffimo from LX forums.com jumped in...

and away we went...
this thing is way quicker off of the line because of the AWD...
I even turned off the ESP and could not "light" or break the wheels because of the AWD...
heck, I could only get some right rear wheel spin when turning right at a light from a dead stop...
this thing hooks up and hooks up hard...
I asked if anyone else wanted to drive...
the answer why?
I can't go any faster than we have already...

upon stepping out of the car...
I asked if anyone wanted to buy my 300CSRT8...
this AWD set-up on a 300CSRT8 - OMG - perfection then...

Great story Ken!!!
thanks for sharing...
Sincerely,

Sincerely,
Happy B-day cbutler- belated that is. What are your other thoughts on the awd monster. I am close to getting it but might wait a year to make sure any and all bugs are worked out as well as the Kicker system being offered. What are your thoughts of the interior? What color was the one you drove? Thanks bro.

Sorry for the delay man,
Thanks for the B-Day wish...
My "other" thoughts?
I would buy the car today if the financial situation were not an issue...
today...
the interior is not X5 or Porsche for sure...
but it is cheaper by 30-40K...
soooo... you get what you pay for...
I think our 300's are a little nicer inside...
it is clean and well laid out...
I'll really take a look when I am in it again...
I was really just wanting to drive it...
and I seriously got into it...
And I mean I did everything I could to break it loose and could not...
the color was red...
and had Magnaflow's new exhaust on it...

oh, here's an indication on how nice it is...
Magnaflow put on an extra 400 miles while they were "testing" it...
love those guys...
really...
Hope that helps,
sincerely,
Chris
