Slowest SRT8 made.... help!

I guess I have the slowest SRT (300C) that DCX has ever shipped. Here are the facts.
Dyno tested with SAE correction to only 320 rwhp! this corrected for altitude and weather (multiplier was 1.1xxx) .
At the drag strip last weekend: 14.1s on SIX runs. never faster, never slower. One time slip:
Reaction --- .594
60ft ----- 2.243
1/4 ET ----- 14.197
1/4 MPH --- 101.96

This track is at about 4300 ft elevation and it was in the mid to upper 60s that day. That was WITH the GSM Torq Mod!

Which BTW... I CANNOT smoke the tires from a straight start, no matter how I start off. There is NO WHEEL SPIN at all.
I am simply not seeing the kind of performance you guys are posting. Anyone have any ideas??????????
The local dealer is doing some research for me now.

Sounds like your SRT8 may have the 300c programing. 14.1 at 101 is 300c numbers. Now this is interesting because if they can program and srt8 with a 300c program can the reverse be done with the Startool? HMMMM. Keep us posted on the fix please.

That is slow. Are you using regular gas or something?

And your dealer is checking for you; to see why your dragstrip times are slow? Wow, what a dealer. I'm sure that mine would be asking what I was doing with it on the strip?

Not at altitude, those are not normal 300c times. And no, the factory didnt give him 5.7 software, the darn car would run like crap, if it ran at all. 4300 feet is WAY up there, are their any other SRT-8 runs to compare it to?

About they dyno, again, high altitude dynos can be a bugger. A very small difference in the correction factor can really alter the results. I'll do some digging later, but I think 1.1 might have been too small a factor.

4300 feet is almost mile high territory. i wouldn't even bother going to a track that high up. Come off the mountain and race and you will find a different story. I am wondering if the stock programming is doing a good job adjusting to the altitude. That combined with the altitude itself can make any car a dog.

No doubt. I've got a buddy that lives in the Denver area and he's got a Fox body Stang with twin hair dryers, built bottom end, and all of the other goodies. He runs at Bandimere and his times are pathetic. However, once you correct it for the 5,800 ft altitude, he's in the low 11's.

I wouldn't get too excited yet. 4300 ft is WAY UP THERE!!!!

My car ran better in 78 degrees and Sea Level (much stronger) than
when I was in Vegas in 40 degrees BUT AT 2200 ft. elevation.
Scott @ GSM may be able to give you the correction factor
for altitude. I know his car is STRONG but he also runs at a track
with some elevation to it!!
