Transmission Leak and 1-2 Shift fixed!

noticed my transmission was leaking yesterday mourning took to Gary Babara 75 miles away (Didn't Take it to local dealer because they said since i did not buy the car from them they did not want to service it and he said he will not service my car at all at any time he is a privately owned brance and he will do whatever he pleases Kings Plaza Chrysler on Flatbush Ave In Brooklyn N.Y.) So made an apt @ Gary Babara (where i bought the car) @ 8:00 car was out and done by 12:00 fast amazing service and everything was taken car of replaced O rings free oil change, ordered new brakes didn't get them completed today rear brakes were on back order and car reprogramed although i did not really get to test the car out with the 1-2 shift because of bad weather and no traction it feels crisper in auto stick and my 2-3 shift which was delayed as well is not delayed at all....
They also had 2 Jeep Srt on the lot look better and better every time I see them!

Which version of the software are they up to now and what did you used to have? My 1-2 and 2-3 shifts are delayed but I thought that was to give time for torque reduction. I think I have version 4.05 of the software, build date 11/17/05.

Hold the lower inner two buttons for a long time like 10 seconds. If you push the left one before the right one it probably doesn't change the radio channel you're on. Then once EVIC comes up one of the screen gives the software version, maybe the first screen you see. You cycle thru screens with the left up/down arrow keys.

artichoke, you are right - but to clarify hold the Compass button and the Music button down at the same time for 10 or so seconds. Note: (at least in my car) you must be in park to do this. Once you see data appear on your EVIC, scroll through it on the up and down arrows on the left side of steering wheel.

I have a hard time believing there is a new software since my car was built in January 06, and I have the same software as the early 05's.

Let's hope there is a newer one. Like VVV90 said, Win 95. Let's hope its more like a Mac

Moose.

On my '05 this is NOT the case... I can get to this EVIC mode (for digital tach and speedo) while cruisin' down the road. Maybe they changed that for '06s but I don't know why they would.

Okay, how's this: try doing it in motion. If that does not work, stop and put it in park.
