New SRT8 - Silver Steel

I have a friend working at a dealership where they just got in a Silver Steel SRT8. From what I gathered, it is the darker interior, option groups 1 and 2 as well as a moonroof. There is no kicker installed. They are asking MSRP. If anyone is interested, please let me know. The dealership is located near Canton, OH (south of Akron and Cleveland for those not familiar with the area). I am in now way profiting from this, fyi, I just wanted to pass the info along to anyone interested. PM me for contact details.

I think most would agree that MRSP is not such a great deal. Paying full retail today is nearly the same as forking over $5000 above MSRP just a few months back. How things change in just a short period of time. It seems a grand or more off MSRP is what seems to be the norm. Also, it may be a regional issue as well, FLA and CA dealers seem to be holding out for the big bucks still.

They are still holding out in Arizona, too. Except if you have cash

At River Oaks Chrysler Jeep in Houston Texas. They are taking $2,000 off MSRP for SRT's. I sopke with Jim Edmunds recently, there sales manager. He told me they will even take more off to make a deal. He also told me they are selling alot of Jeep SRT's. But this being Texas, I understand that. Truck sales of all brands are high here.

I like it better when people are talking about how much dealers are asking over MSRP

Well,

Chrysler is still part of the big three last time I checked and times are pretty hard for Detroit right now. For that our cars are put together in Canada with parts from Mexico and the USA.

It does not surprise me that Chrysler dealerships are looking to make some deals and sell the cars. They are incredibly popular and they need something to keep the fires lit until the Challenger hits the showroom.

I do agree though that those who can be a little more patient can get great deals on 300Cs and SRT8s come fall.

My .02

Oh, I understand, I just wanted to pass the info along in case anyone in the area was looking, since stock is still somewhat low around here. (Hit or miss).
