One year ago today . . . .

The first SRT-8 was delivered to a retail customer. What a ride, what a ride!

I didn't see a birth announcement from you Matt. Hard to believe a year has passed. North49guy was posting his pics and we were drooling. At least we knew our cars had been built and were agonizing while waiting for them to be delivered.

I just finished reading the SRT's in Short Supply thread on the Australian forum and they're sounding like us a year ago, sight unseen, no test drive and I didn't even know what the price was going to be. Happy upcoming Birthday!!!

Seems like just yesterday. Primarily you and I were taking pictures of everything. No one had seen the metal around the clock/radio/ac controls. Hey look! The rims have "SRT" on them! What is "Tirefit" anyway? Look how much lower they look than 300C's! Look! A signature from "Grunt!" Nice seat bolstering! Sleeper off the throttle - tiger on it! Look at the tire tread! BA7 sounds pretty good for factory. Wow - with ESP off you can really roast these tires! You should hear this car shift into 2nd!!! HAs anyone dyno'd these yet? A 12 second run!!!!!! Did you see the SRT-8 CRUSH the sedans in lapofamerica? Magnaflow!!!! Headers!!! Side-by-side drags with XCITsNU! Finally - Kickers! Intakes, intakes, intakes. Where are the programmers? TSB's? How many? Where? What is D status? Got VIN? I could go on......

Maybe I'll do it right on my delivery birthday - 7 days away.

I never would have thought it would take me almost a year to finally join the ranks of the early ones. Believe me I hung onto every word, phrase or expression you mentioned there JMatt. All things work out for a reason I believe. So it has been an exciting time for everyone involved from the start. I haven’t heard from anyone that has ordered one in ages. It seems the purchase method is go to the dealership and see what they have in stock, hope for the best and either go for it or tell him to “pound sand” if they still want crazy MSRP. All I know is the wait was worth it and this place made it bearable.

CB I hope you can talk VVV into bringing out his Pink Prius for the biggest M & G known to mankind! But be careful- he will pester the crap out of you to drag him in it!

It would be no contest.....I would woop your asses in the "1/4 mile per gallon" category....Of course you could race me....Brake slowly at the end of the track....Crack a beer.....and drink the whole thing as I roll of the finish line at 62MPH.

I would love to join you guys but socal ain't exactly next door. Of course Rambit is THE MAN for coming from the GWN.

Get some pics for us freezing Midwest Folk.

JMatt,

Glad to see you are still lurking around.....I thought you where going to disappear for a while like vvv90 did. Even he had to give up the pink Prius and come back over

Sadly - based on the repies to this thread and my "poll" one can see that most people have quieted down significantly. I think we need a new round of excitement from a programmer before the world gets hyped up again.

Sadly it has....Not by choice for me. When I do log on I'm surprised to see the lack of new threads today vs. 1 year ago. It should ramp up though with the advent of more mods.
