Well, that's a fantastic way to get em chromed, not having to be wheelless for more time than it takes to remount your tires...but I was under the impression that chroming a full set of SRT wheels should cost more like $7-800...

I'm not sure what a quality chrome job goes for. This is roughly the same price we saw for the CTS-V rims. No one ever had a quality issue with the V wheels. I know a lot of companies can do it cheaper, but can they do it better? That's always the challenge.
