Did you know this car handles the curves too?

I'm joking of course, but today after owning the car for 8 months, I really pushed it on a curve. It was a long curved freeway entrance and this little punk kid decides I'M going too slow for HIS taste. Amazing how this monster just stuck. I remember thinking "should I slow down, should I brake", but I never had to let up at all; AMAZING. Sorry for stating the obvious to all of you, but DAMN!

I was coming back from an oil change at the dealer and since I was there early, the showroom was empty. So there is a beautifull SRT 10 Viper coupe in blue. So I do a bit of gymnatics / yoga to actually get my body in there and nestle my frame into place. Damn . . . not a bad fit, could be better but I had head room and even though I was looking out of the windshield near the visor, I'm thinking . . . hmmmmm. Of course THEN I notice the "DON'T TOUCH!" signs on the dash and windshield, ooops. Here's to Friday, have a great weekend!

"Hemi goodness" all over it's hood. Should have noticed the SRT badge, knucklehead!

But you do now, huh? Yeah I bet you do, you, you, you . . . . PUNK! Yeah when the curve/entrance ended I still was ahead (and was honestly amazed) then of course it was all over . . . "a blast of hemi goodness" as you say. Either I'm a changed man or maybe the car drives me now, because it refuses to back down from challenges. . . getting scary.

Hehe I know the feeling well I feel it twice a day, to and from work

As is being discussed in another thread, could I give this up for a beater because it would get better gas mileage?? Hell no!!

after going to the SRT Experience, yes i am FULLY aware of what this car is capable of :-)

our suspension is LOCKED DOWN, and while it makes the bumps a little harsher on the daily drive, when it comes to holding a corner without body-rolling all over the place...it does its job, and does it well

Definitely second that, this is too much fun! Dude, what are you thinking in terms of mods, are you staying stock or just waiting a bit so that you can pick and choose a little better? If I recall your posts, I think we are pretty much alike in our driving habits: generally law-abiding and conservative, but pick and choose our moments. The low end torque is soooo much better now, definitely can feel it 100% of the day, with or without the "little extravagances of power" (as in the above).

It seems our sigs just stopped being displayed on our posts. I have a whole list that just awaits time, money and more information. For this list I've added a guess as to the cost of each mod.

Mods list (not done yet)
Suspension:
KW V2 shocks $1500
Eibach swaybars $400
Quaife ATB $1800

Powertrain:
Thermostat $20
Software $500
Ported heads $500 (or more, I forget)
Long tube headers $1500
Intake air hose to behind bumper $10

Anyway I can do the thermostat easily, but not quite as easily as on the 5.7 because I have to remove the resonance chamber that interferes with access. The last mod is just to run a hose down thru that hole that the new "Hennessey / GSM" style CAI goes.

What mods did you do, can you remind me? Low end torque, I want that!

Doyle, the amazing 300C just takes all you can throw at it and comes back for more - all the while smiling.

I believe it really does change us as drivers. How else can you explain a forum with close to 6000 members - enjoying and modding a mainstream 4 door family sedan?

You'd never see this happen with a Ford 500 forum, would you?

Definitely not N.R.; this entire experience: car, mods and forum has been a unique experience and one hell of a ride thus far and should continue being so, God willing.

Artichoke, I think my repetitive enthusiasm regarding my mods has bored many a forum member, so I'll PM you.

Way to go Doyle- love to read about punk kids being put in their place. Yes, this baby sticks to the curves like glue. During my thrill ride at the SRTE proved they can handle quite a bit- I was shocked if I remember correctly. Great post.
