How to activate sirius radio?

I was going to activate my sirius radio today but I have no idea where to find my ID/ESN number and also nothing plays when I turn it on and it's on channel 184. My zoom button is broke so the dealership is replacing the whole unit I suppose so should I just wait and activate it after that or will I not need to activate it again after they swap it?

I received a letter from Sirius asking me why I hadn’t activated my programming. On the letter was the ESN. I think I also saw it in the paper work bundled together with the owner’s manual. It was easy to activate, you can do it on line.

We delayed activation until closer to the time of our departure for the west... the same questioning letter with ESN came today, so we activated. Was very easy!

Yeah I got the letter also, don't remember seeing a number on there though. I guess I'll call them after my radio is replaced and figure it out.

With the radio off I believe and you hit the Info button it will show the number on the NVA screen. I know it's the info button and a combination of another button and the SAT number displays

I looked through my navigation book and it told me how to find out the ESN: Hold the load button and set/rnd button at the same time with the keys in the ACC position and your number comes up on the screen. I did it online and didn't have to pay any $10-15 fee or whatever. I also ordered the Playboy channel with it (free)

Couldn't have picked a better time to activate it. Tuned to Shade 45 today to find out that Proof from D12 was murdered last night at 4am. RIP

Ok now that you have the right answer, I'll give you the smart ass answer:

Step 1 - Stare directly at the Sirius Satellite unit and then wiggle your nose left and right.

Step 2 - If step one fails, cross arms in front of your chest at about shoulder height. Squint eyes and nod head at the same time. Again, ensure you are facing the Sirius Satellite unit.

Step 3 - If both step one and two have failed you have no choice. Put on a tan rain coat and a dress hat. Again stare directly at the Sirius Satellite unit and say "Go Go Gadget Radio". Repeat if necessary.
