High Pitched Whistle

I’m getting a high pitched whistle at around 110. Or when oncoming traffic passes by it will whistle if I’m doing 80+. It is pretty loud and I can’t tell where it is coming from. Any ideas or should I just turn up the radio and press the gas harder?

I think I heard this before too from the right side of the car. I think the window was open though when I heard it so it was probably that.

From the front. I've had people ride with me to listen around doors and windows- nothing there.

I know that you have checked around the windows. It drove me crazy and everyone said it was not the coming from the windows or doors. I had a whitsle and it was coming from a thin peice of film and foam where the mirrior is attached. I had to take a razor blade to it to cut away the excess. Hope this helps you.

Do you have a front license plate? If no, continue below...

Do you have aftermarket grille? If no, continue below...

Try putting turning on your windshield wipers when you hear the whistle and see if it stops. If no, continue with replying to thread again.

There's a post on the LX forums regarding the same whistle.
