Mopar Coilovers-Got 'em? Like 'em? Best price?

Just like the title says. Anyone here running the Mopar Coilover set up? If so, how do you like them? Ride, handling? Who's got the best price? I've seen $1,299. Can you install coilovers yourself? I am a do it yourselfer, just haven't done shocks before. Always willing to learn.

For a couple hundred more, I'd just get the KW V2s w/the ability to adjust rebound in addition to height.

Installing shocks doesn't seem like that big a deal. I've done this on many of my cars including changing out my whole suspension in my 300zxTT (control arms, tension rods including). Just be prepared to bust some knuckles. I recommend mechanic gloves.

I woulda done the KW install on the wife's car, but w/a bathroom remodel, I just didn't have the time.

Well i wish i had them, but i can say i rode around limerock in a 300 with the coilovers at the Srt TE. hard to compare considering there was a race driver at the wheel but it sure was tight. If i didnt live in buffalo and have to worry about ground clearence with the snow let alone driveways and such id almost certainly do it right now just for the stance.

But im with you, real owners speak up!!

TH,

I'm hearing that the Mopars are re-badged KW's and are in fact fully adjustable, height and rebound. We need a group purchase damnit.

Partially correct, cvp33. Mopar coilovers are rebadged KW Variant Ones - no rebound damping.

Compare any pictures of the Mopars and the KW V1s and the main difference you'll see is the color.

As teahead said, the extra few hundred bucks to have the V2s vice the V1s is well worth the investment.
