My GSM P&P Heads Impressions

OK Here is my post on GSM P&P Head & Intake.

I'm pressed for time this morning so bare so sorry for the short cuts.

Firstly, I had some pics of the exposed heads, but I left my camera in LA and I'm now in B-field for the next 10 days. I'm not going back just to get it, and did not want to wait. Besides 2KWK my pics would not added too much more than the pics he posted on his thread bellow.

I was expecting more based on what a freind got ater p&p head install, but he had some significant street miles with the new heads before he could get on the dyno for after mod data. His end result was 448 and he started with 378. Scott says that the end dyno numbers improve with millage because the computer has time to "learn" the new set up and adjust A/F accordingly.
The Dyno Chart is attached below. Sorry for the quailty. I know the torque curve is hard to see. I just got my scanner & I have yet to figure out how to make it scan in color.

Impressions:

Sorry to post our PM conversation Dan, but I'm too lazy to type a fresh impression.

It's all listed in my sig bro'. Everything from the K&N filter down to the Quaife LSD.........And it cost a mutha-****in grip!!!!!!!! I could have gotten some really nice Asanti 22"s with 6" lip in the back and suspension lowered for the same price; about 6-7 large, parts & labor!.... But you know how we do...It's about performance first. Most people will call me a fool, or say 60-70 more rwhp are not worth the money I dropped.....But now I FEEL I can beat any stock AMG x55, and I can go toe to toe with any '06 M5 or M6...I am very happy with the results! This car is the ****in truth now!
Yeah...I know. My wallet is still hurting from the hit, but I'll get over it. LOL!!!!

Significantly faster....

I little more from stand still, but after 1500 rpm there is a big improvement. The power continues to build as the revs rise, and after 2500 rpm this sucker starts to REALLY takeoff! At 3500 rpm you can really feel yourself being pushed hard back in to the seat! I have to be careful now because it goes so much more faster from the same throttle input. It is really much better in passing situations on the freeway. Where as before you were in no-mans land at 50-65 mph, you know too fast for 2nd but too slow for 3rd. Now third gear is at the foot of the power band when you down shift, and when you go WOT it takes off nicely. Before the mods people were sometimes surprised at how well you can pull away, but not blown away. A lot of people would either try to challenge you or take off after you and try to use you as a pace car. Now, people get shocked at how fast you can pull away, and the sound is incredible (as you know having the Magnaflows yourself). You can see the WTF! look on their faces in the review. Hardly anyone tries to challenge, cause you've either pulled away so fast or they are intimidated....This thing is great!

I rode with Scott at GSM in the supercharged SRT8. That thing is scary. It pulls from a dead start like my car now pulls from 3500 rpm....Like a freight train!

I am really happy with the Mods I have done to this car. I feel like the car is set up now the way it should have been from the factory if the bean counters were not so tight and Big Brother Mercedes not so threatened. (I may have said that before?)

Thumbs up Congrats!

BigC, your impressions seem very much like my own, right down to the feeling that this is the way it should have come out of the factory. The car definitely will get stronger as the computor adjusts/learns. The difference between now and when I had the porting done almost 3 months ago is very noticeable. Can you imagine what this monster is going to be like with 3.7 gears? Good luck and enjoy!

I got the heads intake, catted mid-pipes and catbacks......no headers. I'm sensitive to noise.....the mi-d pipes are easier to reverse if I can't take it....also if I want to sell it in CA with the emissions laws.
