Question ole wise ones

Previously on 300c there was a dip in the road where at X miles per hour I would bottom out. From that first time on I would not run at that speed. Yesterday in the SRT8 which is lower then the 300c, I was going over the same dip I was at X miles per hour and greater then I was when bottoming out in the 300c, I was thinking oh crap but I didn't have time to really slow down as their was someone riding behind me, note this speed is not excessive it was only 40mph. but in the SRT8 I didn't bottom out. With the car being an 1/2 inch or inch lower is that the springs/suspension dampening that prevents as much travel then in the C. I feel more comfortable being able to take dips now.

What he said.

I still would not go out and test every dip at XX MPH. The SRT still sits 1/2" lower OEM than the 3C. You will feel the dip alot more with the tighter set up than the C. But I like that tighter responsive feel. Except I went with the KW V2's and now I sit lower, OEM, than my SRT was. If you think your SRT OEM set up is tight and responsive go to KW and get back to me after you do.

is the ride still pretty comfortable? I've owned a Vette and that kind of a ride is cool by me, but maybe not the wife............tight and responsive is good, but beat the hell out of you for the sake of taking the car around a track is not (at least for round town driving).......but I guess they are adjustable, so you could have the best of both worlds really

Mine is more a garage queen, car shows, track events, etc. by no means a daily driver. I am also currently on 22's. I think your wife would not be happy with my set up as a daily, plus Kooks long tubes and cats too.

I know there are other Co. out there that are making suspension systems for the LX. Hotchkis for one. But hands down for me, the more aggressive suspension set up for our car is the KW V2. I also added the F and R Hotchkis sway bars now. In preparation for the 20's with more wider tires, that USW will soon make for me.

If you are using your 300 in a more daily driver mode, car pools, etc. I would leave the car in more of the OEM set up.

A little bit firmer, responsive ride probably Hotchkis set up (I have never ridden in Hotch set up though).

Top tier, KW V2's. True you can adjust them. But I don't think KW set there adj. for track, then car pool/daily mode. More like making changes between the different style tracks you may go to.

Just my .02

Thanks, it's good to hear that side of the story. Chasb is going to let me ride in his car after he gets his V2's on and I'm very interested to see what it's like.

My car is very definitely my daily driver. Do you think the Kooks are in any way incompatible with that? Would they bottom out and get bent up?
