Struck a Deal for my SRT8

I've been calling Chrysler dealers for days and days ...

Trying to find one that would make some sort of deal with me ...

I went in to one today, spoke to the finance manager, the general manager and of course the sales rep ....

I'm the first person they are calling as soon as they get the info on their incoming inventory ....

I agreed to purchase at MSRP ..... we filled out paperwork with those basics underlined ....I was about to leave a deposit, but the manager said it wasn't necessary ....

Hopefully, this is a good sign .... they said they should know something either by the end of December, or January, provided Chrysler is on time with production .....

Heard a Rep at the SF International Auto show say the SRT8 won't be out until July or August of next year.

Yeah, for sure put money down. Kinda sounds the same when the C6 started to roll around. A local speed shop had money down months before the car came out to ensure they had development in mods out. Good luck I hope you get yours soon!

The fact that he wouldn't take a deposit is what signaled the red flag for me. It means all you have is a dealers "word" kind of like an oxymoron for me.

Buyer Beware
It doesn't really matter if he puts a deposit down or not, it would help. But there are enough post on this forum of greedy unethical dealers. The question is- Why would a dealer sell a car that will have a mark up of at least $10,000. for MSRP? As the time gets closer they'll just make an excuse to sell it to someone else for more. Even with a deposit we've seen this with greedy unethical dealers. good luck.

yeah they might call you, but it will probably be to letyou know that they accidentaly sold your car. i've been to a ton of dealerships, and no one really know's anything about the car, so why do you think that they know if there gonna mark it up or not? if they marked up a c 3 to 5 k there def. marking up a srt. im guessing tha a lot of dealerships aren't even gonna get them. i live in fl and the dealer thats in my town got in 1 c so far since they were released, and it was basic. the dealer your talking to miht not even get one. dealers suck, and i hope everything works for you but i would put my money that its all bs

Yeah ... I know about the greedy dealers ....
I will get it in writing ...
They also have to consider that I'll be buying two vehicles from them ... not just the SRT8, and I will do my service there, which is probably worth more than marking up the car $3k or $5k ....

(I'lll be buying a Jeep from them now, and the SRT8 later)
