My SRT Experience: Today

I didn’t attend a SRTE today, but I sure did run into 2 beauties while out and about. My first encounter was with a 300C SRT8 (my first I’ve ever seen out and about!) I was in Costco in Fort Myers and when I was walking out to my car there was a black beauty sitting there all freshly waxed and oh so HOT! I was like “oh man, my first SRT8 brother in the hood!!” At the same time the dude who was driving it came out. Wasn’t overly social, but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt as maybe he had someplace to run off to, or he freaked out because some big dude became an SRT8 groupie! Gave him the thumbs up as he roared out of the parking lot. Maybe he is a member here. Vanity tag read “I sell M” If you’re out there it was great seeing another SRT8 bro and your car is immaculate!
Shortly after this encounter I was stopped at a light when this big yellow pickup truck pulls next to me. I hear the horn honk and the dude is yelling at me at the light. When I roll down the window I see the Viper tag on the hood and we’ve got a RC Ram SRT10! Now I’ve only seen a couple of others around, never a yellow one. The dude was so cool. Asked me how I liked my car. I was the first SRT8 he had ever seen. Told me he had read of them, but never seen one. He said “you wanna run’em”? Silly Rabbit….trix are for kids! HELL YES I WANNA RUN’EM!! So we tear off at the light and head west of the city where the population and traffic thins immensely. We were just two dudes out having fun with two incredibly beautiful rides. So we’re out in the middle of no where and we line up and let it fly. I give him props, he could bang those 5 gears (6 is worthless when hauling azz) That SRT10 motor……OMG the sound, the deep…deep rumble….damn it still gives me goose bumps just thinking of it!!!
We had decided we weren’t going to race them…..just floor the hell out of them and see what happens. We’re going up past 130 by this time, not really wanting to see who was faster, but each appreciating the sound, the speed, the camaraderie……if that makes any sense. On up to 145….150……155….my buddy has that 6000 lbs. screaming down the road and me his 4000 lbs. friend next to him. Get the hell out of the way! By this time the very remote road in the boonies was running out. We finally stopped and pulled over to talk about this incredible event. We were laughing like two little school girls. Damn that was fun. His truck was stock, other than a CAI and Magnaflows. Mine is completely stock.
He was highly, highly impressed with my car. I told him there was plenty more to go and he knew it. So we decided to turn around and do the same thing back down the remote road. Only this time we would take turns passing each other so we could hear those WOT rumbles we all love. I’ve not had the chance to hear another SRT10 (except at SRTE) so running with one on the open road was a time I won’t soon forget.
Very cool dude for sure.
Sorry for the rambling post, but I wanted to share my special SRT Experience with the ones I know who will appreciate such WOT, azz puckering times! Can't wipe the smile from my face!!

I'm really hurt that he isn't enjoying my day as much as I did. Where is the love?
