New SRT8 Owner in the Bay Area...

I have been lurking around this board for about a month now...I decided to Register as there is some great information on this site....

I bought my SRT8 300 at the end of last month....I have gone through about 4 cars in the past 3 years (turbo'd RSX, Modded 350z, Modded STi) and I believe I found a car I will keep for a while...What finally pushed me over the edge was my Best Friends Father has a Black Supercharged 300 SRT8....That car is a beast like I havent seen in years...it is insane...I thought my STI with a VF37 Turbo was fast untill he destroyed me...I looked at quite a few cars before I pulled the trigger on the SRT8...I looked at the CTS-V, a Used M5 and thought about going back to a coupe and get a Saleen Mustang....I am now completely happy at my choice and so is my Boss....as I am a Finance manager for Lithia CJD (Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge) in Santa Rosa. As far as dealership related questions feel free to hit me up...I am an open book.

I already have installed a Magnaflow Exhaust and K&N Typhoon Intake on the car and I am having one of my Techs install the GSM Thermostat/Torque Mod today...

I do have one question...With ESP off, If I stomp on the gas from a light...how come I do not light the tires up through first gear...I would think they would...it hooks up very quick with a little squeal...is this normal? I am thinking after I do the GSM Mod It will spin the tires a bit more but I would think that I can get some smokey burnouts without using the Brake pedal. Thanks in advance...See ya guys around

Out of your options, you definitely made the best selection! There has already been information posted regarding your take off and ESP. I'm sure someone who owns this model will be along soon to assist you.

On the other hand, be ready for $$ questions from forum members, too.
Congratulations on your purchase, added mods, and welcome to the 300cforums!

Welcome from our 300Cs in WV! Nice to know of someone at a dealership who is "open" to all of our questions. Not that common according to many!

My friend has the same mods you have. Magnaflow Exhaust, K&N Intake, GSM torque mod. Theres a vid around here where he roasts the tires like nothing.

Seems like you live close by. Maybe you and BIGSRT8 should race
