exhaust for my srt-8 need help

Thinking if removing my dual mufflers and putting borlas or magna flows , can anyone tell me which way to go, also I had removed the metal looking suitcase under the car right under the front seats and the car lost alot of power so I had put it back why the this happen I thought less restrictive exhaust make the car faster.

Welcome alaink to the forums. I started to pass on some links, but they're simply too many of them. You will find an absolute ton of information on exhaust mods for the SRT8. Everyone has an opinion on which one is better. You will find links where people have provided sound clips. It seems that exhaust sounds are very subjective and rely on a great deal of personal preference. Some hear drones, others love the drone, and still others don’t hear a drone. We also have site sponsors that offer the occasional group buy on exhaust systems. So please don’t think I’m putting you off when I say check out the search area. You won’t believe all the posts there are.
What color do you have? Enjoy your new baby!

Did not want the drone I have had with previous projects,so had the rear resonators removed, and a neat piece of pipe bent up with 3.5 inch tail pipes fitted.Took 1.0 hour to do and $150 aus.More than happy with the result!

Try this link from 'Arlasky Performance, Inc' for a video of their 'Zoomers' performance exhaust system.

There is a company called Dynatech, that makes the nicest headers and exhaust in the business. They're almost famous for their circle track headers, and the past couple of years have been building street headers and exhaust. Extremely nice stuff, and I am in the performance business, and have seen about every quality of header and exhaust out there. You can find info at afcoracing.com. I am going to keep my SRT stock on the intake and exhaust side, as I travel in it and want it as quiet as possible. Good luck, hope I was helpful.
