Wow! Enhanced SRT Experience

For anyone who has gone through the SRTE, here's more to have! I just got this email...if this wasn't so far away and so soon...

Are you ready to take the next step? You participated in the SRT Track Experience. Now, SRT is offering you the opportunity to take your driving skill to the next level through its SRT Advanced Driving School, a one-day, advanced driving experience taking place Sunday, July 30, at the DaytonaInternational Speedway.
When you sign up for the SRT Advanced Driving School, you'll receive one-on-one driver training from Skip Barber instructors. You'll get plenty of opportunity to ask questions and share your comments throughout the day Additionally, all the exercises you complete that day are based on the same ones used by Skip Barber at its three-day racing schools. We've just condensed it into one incredible day. Also included as part of the day are:

* Advanced classroom instruction
* Extensive skid pad and handling training
* Performance autocross sessions
* Competition braking and cornering techniques
* Heel-n-toe downshifting instruction
* Maximum seat time with trained professionals

And there's more! The small class size (24 maximum) allows for intensive training with hours of actual driving time.
The cost for the one-day SRT Advanced Driving School is $1,400 per person. It's more than the SRT Track Experience--but you get so much more in return.

The deadline for signing up for the July 30 event is Friday, July 14. But since there are only 24 spaces available, don't wait or you might miss out completely.
So call today. To register, or for more information, contact SRT Advanced Driving School headquarters at 1-800-998-1110. We look forward to seeing you there.

LOL..

Like clockwork I just got my email from them shortly before you made your post....At 3:08CST.

$1,400 is a bit pricey to be honest. I think a skip barber day is $1200 but at a three day package minimum.

Here's a Skippy Skool one-day session that sounds similar. It's held at a lot of tracks. Price is $1495. Go to www.skipbarber.com:

A high performance driving course using a stable of powerful sports cars and sport sedans. The time-proven Skip Barber formula applied to – and experienced behind the wheel of – the Porsche 911 and Boxster, BMW M3 and 330i sports cars, and the Dodge Viper SRT10. Students learn in a high-octane mix of environments, including classroom, autocross and purpose-built exercise areas. Finish the day driving the race track, with your instructor sitting ‘‘right seat’’ as you explore your limits.

* understand vehicle dynamics & behavior
* experience slides & recoveries
* learn at the limit
* experience lane-toss exercises & accident avoidance
* compare handling characteristics of different premium sports cars
* 1 hour of driving time on the racetrack with your instructor ‘‘right seat’’

Prerequisite: Ability to drive a manual transmission. Participants will be required to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement prior to participation. Optional: Vehicle damage liability reduction is available for purchase.

I received the same email and I also received a flyer for an Encore SRTTE the weekend July 28th, 29th. It says back by popular demand the SRTTE (SRT Track Experience) roars into Daytona! Join us at this track near you! So they stuck an additional Daytona time in there. The first one back in May was sold out in February. So these dates combined with your post CVC22348(b)(1) rounds out the entire weekend. I wonder if they are going to do that for the other sold out dates across the country?

Yep. It sounds like SB has found a rich vein of enthusiest gold to tap. Better than those ugly orange/yellow racing shoes no one bought at my SRTE...and a lot more profitable.

I received mine today too. Will pass on this one but am thinking about doing another SRT-8 driving experience. I had a good time at the event at Lime Rock. Maybe there won't be rain and snow at the next track
