if the block is the same... that means that the engine mounting points are the same, right?... would the EFI version talk w/ the CAN-BUS?.... if so, a dude could have an externally stock looking, but blindingly fast 300C

I tend to believe this motor is not intended for emissions-controlled street vehicles "* Not legal for sale on pollution-controlled vehicles or vehicles registered for highway use." as they say.

Can anyone clarify?

Speaking of…..did you happen to see the latest Overhaulin? It featured a 1972 Challenger that they redid at SEMA. Of course they had to drop in a 392. Supposedly this vehicle was the first street vehicle to receive one of these babies. The ride turned out awesome. Hemi Orange and black. You can catch a repeat on TLC 7:00 PM 12/12 Anyone attending SEMA this year happen to catch it live?

Yea brother there sure were alot cool cars at sema, including the one you mentioned. It was gorgeous! But after really being there in person and hearing the new S/S (Ronnie Sox superstock tribute)392 hemi challenger run in person thru the parking lot,...brother it was love at first sound and sight for me. And according to "The godfather of the hemi",...the 392 will be making its way into the top model hemi challenger! 392 Challenger at SEMA post #14 BABY,..OOOOOYEA!!!

I love this thread, so much useful info. That 392 is a screamer, that's for sure. If they do put it in the top Challenger that thing is gonna be selling like the new Shelby 500s.
