Did You Know Your 6.1 is a 6.4, Too?

That's right, the maker of the 6.4L 392 ci crate motor was on the radio last week and he said that, under a deal, Chrysler sends him 6.1 blocks and his team turns them into 6.4 392's.

Gary Stanton http://www.mopar.com/speed/tech1001.htm stated that ''the baby boomers are throwing those into everything under the sun." At 525 HP completely stock and running on pump gas the motor complete with fuel system runs for $14,000. He also said, "the 6.1 is bad enough, I don't know why they have to go the 6.4 but we do it for them."

Perhaps with the '09 Challenger.

Along with the obligatory 6-speed manual tranny.
