1st gear rev limiter....?

I have this problem with my 2006 srt8 300.When I take off from a light and mash the pedal to the floor and it makes this "pop" noise and kind of feels like it also drops power.Has anyone else had this issue? What can I due to fix this.

Sounds like it's banging off the rev limiter. Are you in "D" or 1st when this happens?

It could also be the esp kicking in. Turn off the esp and see if that fixes it.
