2 other SRT-8's in 1/2 mile of my AO!

I am beginning to feel like it aint that speeeecial to have one! Both set out side. One sets on the street and both are always filthy. One silver and one black.
Who are these Dallas owners?
The to top that I saw an achient old grandma with one and spoke with her about it.. Her comment was "sure is speedy" "dont like it" "my husband made me get it. and its too noisey." Driver was 71 year old female.

Wierd. I saw an older lady (at least 70) cruising down the expressway at a whopping 50mph the other day too. I jumped up behind hoping to test it to see how bad I'd get spanked and about wrecked in shock... (not to mention she was doing 50 in a 65... ugh) Don't they have screener surveys to limit who they can sell to?

A family transfered to Houston for work. They just bought a new house done the street from me. I am coming home one night. I glance over and see a Silver Steel 300 under the light. No not another SRT on my street. I stopped, took a look, it was a 3C.

I'm still the only SRT on my street. Oh and my neighbor has not seen Freebird yet, lol. It is going to make his jaw drop. Freebird took a trip to Dallas for a bit.

Some idoits buy cars just to say they have the top of the line model or something with little regard to what they really need. Free country, yes, but I hate to see people with mismatched vehicles contrary to their needs just because they can afford it. Like I saw an elderly couple with a damn Hummer H1. The wife could not back it up! No disrepect to those that are vertically challeged but I hate to see someone 5'1" driving a big car like the 300C or S-Class with the seat pull all the way up to the steering wheel and head way up in the headliner while trying to see over the long hood. They look silly

Haha E55 KEV just thinking of it makes me laugh, sadly i see it every day, worst experiences were the SLR and M6 not knowing how to even launch, and the Rolls Royce Phantom being driven by an 18 year old who literally climbs up the pavement with the car because he can't find a parking, then it gets stuck halfway through, so he reverses, goes down, then steps on it and forces the poor phantom onto the pavement. I was offended
Thankfully, not many people here are into American cars, so SRT-8s are safe..... except for the grand cherokee version which got sold out before it even came out.

300s are common as house flys now- I have 4 on my block, I have the only SRT8 however, it does not change anything for me, I still love the car.

While I’m on vacation I spotted a silver SRT8 pulling into the local mall ahead of me. So of course I had to “stalk” it. So I decided to park near it as I didn’t want the person to know they were being “stalked”. What I saw next made my stomach turn. This woman got out of the car along with about 100 kids who were screaming, jumping, and thumping everything in sight. The woman then went to the back door, set her bag and keys on the trunk lid, reached inside and pulled out a real small child from the car seat. In the mean time the kids who were released were hanging off the doors, leaning on the doors, slamming doors. I could see inside the car and it was full of trash and crap all over the floor. Now I don’t have any problems with kids, but to see the rampaging going on with that poor car would make any aficionado cringe. I don’t see a real long life for that poor beast.

Not to thread jack but the above post gave me flashbacks..... does it kill any of you when you're car shopping and the salesguy (who always seems to have a ring of some kind) is leaning on and/or tapping every car on the lot (including the one you might be looking at which of course is not 100% clean since it sits outdoors) while talking to you?! Maybe it's just me but that drives me insane.

I can agree with you on hating to see mismatched owners of SRTs, or other cars that have special appeal. However, I caution you on making the judgement based solely on age. At 66 I'm sure a lot of you would consider me "past it." In many ways I am, but not in the cars I drive. I was a motorhead before some of your fathers graduated from gradeschool. One of the coolest (hottest) car I've owned was a brand new 1958 DeSoto. I educated a bunch of Plymouth Fury owners with that one. Later, bought a '66 Ford 428 cu. in. Then a '68 Dodge Charger 440 when they came out. Etc., etc. Point being, I may be gray headed, use a little better judgement than a few years ago but don't expect me to move over and let just anybody pass.

I've also seen people judged by the number of posts they had on this forum. I read a lot on the forum and have learned a bunch. If I can really contribute, I will. But, most of the time I prefer driving my SRT to watching my computer.
