This has nothing to do with me but i thought i'd offer this....I'm also a reasonably successful businessman, i also run (rather, used to run) a forum-type website that got traffic of around 40,000 hits per day, and (not that i'm saying this is what's happening here) i've also badly lost my cool online due to a smear campaign by a bunch of internet nobodies who decided it would be nice to attack my integrity and trash my reputation. I'm not defending anyone here (hell, i dont know any of you personally to say hello let alone well enough to vouch for you), but I could totally understand if a person appeared to be acting like an immature, infantile, arrogant so-on-so online, because i've done it myself in the past when people attacked my honesty. I just didnt handle it well at all, and it was embarassing. But i think it should be remembered that the net is populated by all sorts of people, some of whom grow a nice big letter S on their chest when they decide to log on. They suddenly become know-it-alls, tough as nails, with an opinion on everything....these same people are often introverted bubble-dwellers (to coin a seinfeldism!) who if you were standing in front of face to face wouldn't say boo to you let alone attack your honesty,integrity,reputation etc.
I learnt a lot from my experiences dealing with online superheroes, and now i just take most of it with a grain of salt.
This website should be for us to discuss our cars in a friendly manner, not bitch and winge about who did what to whom. I reckon if i ran this site i'd delete this thread and tell everyone it's water under the bridge, lets look forward with a smile on our face....we drive awesome cars guys, lets celebrate that fact, life's just too short otherwise.
