I read your prior posts. I'm glad you're happy with what you got.

Anyway - if one forum bashes you, maybe the forum has a problem. When all of the forums bash you, maybe you have a problem.

If you are going to accept the praise that members give you on a forum, you need to accept the bashing as well. The forum here is a tool for the customer to make future purchasing decisions and the forum is a tool for the vendor to sell to potential customers as well.

You have to take the good with the bad. Its that simple.

John screwed me around on a transaction. I was just ordering in stock items for my viper truck. He overcharged me by 30%. He took 3 weeks to respond to the complaints and it was ONLY after calling him out on a message board that he finally responded back. The order was done COD, so I had no recourse for refusing a charge.

He has had issues with other viper truck owners. He has attempted to make good on a few of them, but only after people make post about it. Otherwise you can't get ahold of him.

I'm in agreement with you. If there were 30 different people with 30 different issues that THEY had to deal with, then there is a problem. And I want to know about their personal experiences, as it makes me a better informed consumer. The issue here is that there are 30 different people spouting off about the SAME issue.... that they had no dealings with at all!

As for the forums..... I respect ekool and his forum. If he does not want to delete or edit posts, then that is his choice. As long as he treats everyone the same, then the rules are the rules..... and I have NO issue with that at all (sounds like a good plan to me). On the other side of the coin, if I or anyone else does not agree with the terms of HIS site, then we are free to leave!

There are some incredibly well-reasoned and knowledgable posts here - about the law, about what is slander and libel, and what is right and wrong.

I am proud to be a part of this wonderful forum. We are not all dummy sheep and we will form our own opinions and share them as we please. I don't believe half the nonsense I read - I want verifiable facts not gut opinions.

I also want to thank our moderator for having the strength to turn down some advertising dollars for the freedeom to post our beliefs. Good show ekool!

I personally think this public show by Hennessey - announcing that he is leaving is a bit too much drama. If he felt he was not treated fairly and was offended, he could have quietly told the moderators and not made the decision into a public spectacle. What did he think? Thousands of folks would come and beg him to stay? I assume he is a talented guy, but IMHO I see an inflated and fragile ego.

It was said in the printed material in Car and Driver and Autoweek that Hennessey takes better care of locals. So lets hear from all those happy supporters outside of Houston and even Texas.

Those who like his work will continue to do business with him. I for one who lives is So Cal, and uses my Maggie as an everyday driver, would think three or four times before I would ship my car half way across the US for some tuner work - especially to one who remains so controversial.

Good luck Mr. Hennessey - I for one wish you the best in your future endeavors .

Amen to that, ekool.

This forum always manages to put principles ahead of personalities when the chips are down. The members here, are for the most part, well informed, articulate and very willing to share information. Most just call things as they see them and most are respectful of everyone's right to agree to disagree.

As a moderator who gets to see behind the scenes, I can confidently state that ekool has consistently provided a standard for forum ethics that sets his forums as an example for others.

THE FORUM IS YOUR FORUM AND 1ST USED TO MAKE YOU MONEY AND 2ND TO SERVE THE USERS OF THE FORUM. NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT ORDER, BUT WE KNOW YOU ARE NOT RUNNING ALL THESE FORUMS BASED ON BEING AN ENTHUIAST.
