Nobody likes it...

When you spoil their party. I was able to demonstrate the 6.1 recently to a youngster who owns a bad ass Probe/Mazda. This little bugger has a bunch o' mods including a new down pipe, cat back, waste gate, intake, and custom tuning.

Known as a hot car in these parts! Well, that was until I took him as my personal challenge! We squared off on my favorite "driveway" and agreed to race to 120 mph. There is about 3/8 of a mile there and I regularly exceed 3rd gears limits! We started from a stop and I pulled a perfect hole shot and a perfect 1-2 autostick. This was MY back yard!

Needless to say there is a lot of new respect for the mighty 6.1. The kids were really impressed by my victory burnout, where I rolled past all the observers and proceeded to light 'em up from a 15 mph roll. Afetr I hit the limiter 4 times the new 350Z owner said "that f***ing car is just sick, man".

They'll be talking about this for a while. They don't even know jack about this car!

I absolutely love to read stories like this Steve! There are so many of the type you’ve mentioned that it is nice to see them face their comeuppance! Way to represent and put the smack on the dude!

Beat it!

Actually had rat raced on local streets a while ago. That's when the talking started. My car spends most days in the garage while I work, but I do some hunting on weekends. He knows my neighbor and said something about how this big grey 300 was messing around with him and he dusted him off bad! So my neighbor (360 Modena owner) says "I know a big ole 300 that you better not mess with" and it got to me eventually.

I can tell you it was closer than I liked until 3rd gear. I always seem to pull better in the higher gears. Through first he was a 1/2 car back, as I shot off the line like a raped ape! He gained ground up to about 50-60 mph, and from there on it was all mine! I had 4-5 car lengths on him at the top. It would have just gotten worse if we went faster.

Srt-8

Hello I Would Like To Ask A Few Questions About Your Mods.
1. Your Performance Chip. I Was Told None Were Avail. For Srt-8
2. What Do You Think About Your Zommies? I'm Leaning Towards Corsa What Do You Think.

Thanks Alot Ken

No software is available yet - he states that he is waiting for software (to be developed). As for the exhaust, I believe you are referring to Zoomers. Actually, I just replaced my whole exhaust system - I bought it through GSM - supporting vender. After doing some research I believe Kooks has the best headers / high-flow cats and GSM ceramachorme coats them which reduces heat to the engine compartment by about 150 degrees which really saves on the belts and hoses over time. Additionally, they are long-tube equal length headers which makes them even better. Finally, I was going to go with Corsa for my cat-back exhaust system and both Scott at GSM and the guy at the performance muffler shop that installed my system said that Magnaflows are the best by far - straight air flow and great sound. They said that Corsa sounds stock and the performance gains aren't much over what stock is. I love my system for what it's worth and am glad I went that route. Just my $.02.
