Drive safe & cool~
I know one of our members mounted a camera up front to check when he was getting close to anything while parking.

To deal with both problems i back into spaces, double park when able to, park next to handicapped spaces slightly into the blue filler gaps, take driveways at angles, watch out for dips, and always keep an eye out. MY FIRST DAY AT WORK I PARKED AWAY FROM EVERYBODY AND A DUMB S**T PARKED LIKE RIGHT NEXT TO ME! MY BEST WAY TO DEAL WITH DAMAGE.....TO TEAR HIM A NEW ONE FOR BEING SOOO STUPID!
What he said. The front of the SRT-8 is bad... but not THAT bad. My dad's Jetta GLI for instance... if you make a fist you can barely fit it in between the bottom of the bumper and the ground. Make sure you take inclines at angles, back in when possible, learn the limits of the front of the car and it should be fine. Don't get me wrong, there is no way to avoid the scratches below the bumper because it happens, but even the Jetta which is quite ridiculous in terms of ground clearance looks perfect after a year (until you put your hand to feel the bottom of the bumper). The SRT-8 (The Ocho, I love it) is an amazing car and I wouldn't let the ground clearance hold you back.

My 10 and 13 year old boys thought it would be fun if they started calling dad's car "The Ocho" and it has stuck.

Watch out...it's catchy.

6,000 miles and I have taken it on the chin once. Leaving my dry cleaner is an abrupt approach from the sidewalk to the street, ouch. A few scratches underneath that you can't see unless you lay on the ground. Lesson learned, it won't happen there again.

Parking stops aren't a problem for me it seems.

Buy the Ocho, they rock.

ya it is really low.....dont you love it ?

no but really, it is really low and you have to watch when your parking or driving on uneven surfaces. But it you ask me, the pros (such as looks and style) WAYYY out weigh the cons.

Mine was scratched up by the dealer or by transport before I even took delivery. I didn't notice for a couple of weeks as Skeletonizer says, you need to get right underneath to see.

Overall, while the chin is low, it is not that much lower than other cars I have had in the past or my wife's Audi TT.
