Question SRT-8 worth da wait?

Hey I was wondering if the SRT-8 is worth the wait(when is it coming out)? Or should I just get the reg. 300c.

If flat out performance is your number one concern it is worth the wait. If you think style and comfort are the number one concern go ahead and get the C. The C has plenty of performance to suit me but I would love to have an SRT-8.

A friend of mine that works at CTC, said that they are having problems right now with the 6.1 hemi.. The engines are failing around the 100 hour mark. Still working out the bugs.

It all depends on the scenario

Is it worth the wait? It depends on how long the wait is and what the price will be. I believe that these cars will be like the BMW M cars and MB AMG's. Anyone ever try to buy an M5 or E55 AMG? I could never afford one but have heard long waiting lists exist and the cars are almost impossible to obtain. I also heard that the consumer has no bargaining power when it comes to pricing as someone is always in line waiting to purchase them. I don't know what the production numbers will be for the SRT-8 but with orders backed up for the C and the addition of the charger, I cannot believe that they will be looking to sell these as a volume based vehicle. This is just my .02. So based on this, if you are willing to wait a long time and pay a premium then I'm sure the car will be worth it. Of course some people in other parts of the country will say the above described scenario applies to the purchase of a "C" For those people, I have no idea what to say except that lots of people are in the same boat and I hope you get your cars soon.

Depends...if you want a daily driver and you put many miles on a car each year, I would say go for the C. The SRT-8 will have you pulling your hair out and getting on a first name basis with you local gas station attendant(s). The C has plenty of power (yeah, we all want more, but who really NEEDS it?) and the $$$ in your pocket afterward can be used for a great many other things.

Your choice, but I would stick with the C.

Seems like you can't get away with much on the highway, as their is a cop on every corner, and the radar detector beeps almost all the time. I kind of wish they would fight crime and back off a little on the roads. Back in the 60s-70s muscle car era everyone had a spot to have some fun & get-r-done, but not anymore. I would be on pins and needles with a SRT-8, as I can't drive the 300C normally.

If you don't mind waiting and can afford the extra cost, I would DEFINATELY hold out for one!!!

When I was in the market to purchase one of the last Camaros, I held out until I could get a 6 speed SS. No way did I want a Z28. There's not much difference between the Z28 and SS except for mostly appearance mods, but simply had to have an SS.

If I were in the market for a 300C, I would for sure get the SRT8, mostly for the difference in performance. 6.1L HEMI V8, special orange block paint, 425hp/400+lb.-ft., larger wheels, and no MDS!!

HOLD OUT!!!
