Is this price close?

Been a big fan of the SRT8 300 from day one and it looks like now is the time to buy!

I have a price on one with everything I am looking for (Silver all options but DVD), msrp of 46,745 selling price of $42,717. This is at a dealer in Fort Worth,TX.

I have seen a few post with cars at close to the same msrp for a grand or two lower selling price. Just wanted to do quick reality check on prices.

I would love to have this before the weekend!

Steve,
Just bought mine last Friday. Same MSRP paid $40,324. The dealer is a no hassle price dealership meaning they set the price. They had 3 SRT8 in stock two black and one silver. I checked all three and found two where older productions so I made sure they sold me the newer production.
You can check their website for pricing...www.townmotors.net. You will see the net price is about $100 higher, but they quoted me $40,324 two weeks ago and honored the price. The newer production included performance tire which I wanted. There is no charge for these tires. Thanks to this site I was more knowledgable about my purchase. The salesperson, nice guy, but clueless.
Haven't put many miles on yet, I all ready have a wish list for improvements that shouldn't drive the cost up but a tad, but very satisfied so far.
Good luck and please drive safely...this car is a mean beast.

Joe - Thanks for the reply. Wonder if there were any incentives that might have expired on 7/31?

Not sure about any other incentives. Dealer in Texas (River Oaks Chrysler) was selling fully loaded including DVD for about $38,500 just two weeks ago and was mentioned here at this forum. Can't tell you why so much discount. I as I other other posts I started shopping in June, and when I finally decided to buy all the SRT8's at all the various dealer where still in stock, none sold. A dealer that had one SRT8 same as mine and the one you are looking at...he wanted near same price as you are being quoted. I told him about the deal I was getting elsewhere, and he said he couldn't match it.
Also, I'm sure you are aware of this, but the 07 models will include slotted rotors, improved surround system, and tire pressure monitor warning system. I'm not sure if I would of bought if it wasn't for the price I got, but opt to wait for 07.

The price you quoted seems very close to the ones I’ve seen around where I live. We’ve witnessed some incredible pricing by a distant dealer from the lone start state.

Price for my SRT8 Last Week

Steve, I paid about $500 less than the quote you got for my 06 SRT8 - loaded with *every* option (including the DVD/VES) last week in No. Virginia.

Included effect of employee pricing which expired Monday, but now seems to have been renewed so you should still have benefit of that too.
